Pheromones work. I don't normally talk about them much because I don't want everyone to know about them but they do. I have used them on and off for years, normally very sparingly, only a few times a year for a lark. I lost my last bottle a few months ago and felt like buying some more.

I'm in HK for two weeks, and was googling them, but my results turn up spam sites and B.S.

I'm specifically looking for Anderostenol, spelt like that. I'm happy to go straight to the Theilmann and get some Industrial stuff.

If you have any ideas where to get some and can spend 5 minutes using your google skills it'd help this Triangle.

Q: Do pheromones have a range?
A: Yes, but only in the same way a cologne has a range. It depends greatly on whether you are indoors, in a hot place, etc., but generally 5'-10' is a good outer limit estimate. However, the closer you are to your target, the better.


Q: How long does it take pheromones to affect an individual in my presence?
A: The scientific evidence in this area can be misleading. For the record, this states that the actual pheromone-hormone-mood axis takes about 10-15 minutes to work, but a conditioned response can be instantaneous. All you need to know is that the longer you stay around a person, the more likely it is that your pheromones will affect them, but strong reactions can happen very fast.


Q: Will wearing mones cause the mones you produce to decrease?
A: There is no feedback process that controls the amount of pheromones present on your skin (i.e. when there is lots on your skin, your body doesn't stop producing). However, it has been suggested that detection of sex pheromones causes an individual to react by secreting more of their own sex pheros as a response, for example, to an individual you want to attract. There is also a possibility that the increase in sex hormones in the blood (induced by pheromone exposure) will result in a spike in pheromone production (these two may be one and the same).


Q: Build-up. What is it, is it my problem, how can I cure/prevent it?
A: Build-up is when your skin absorbs so much pheromone content from your applications over a period of time that it starts to adversely affect your reactions.



Buildup could be happening if:


You initially had good, consistent reactions but after a period of use you noticed a significant drop off in reactions.

After a couple of days of heavy application with minimal results, you see better reactions in the next couple of days when you don't apply.

You primarily use -none products and find day to day reactions to be very inconsistent.

You don't wash application points well at the end of the day.

To combat possible buildup:


Scrub application points after a days application (don't go crazy, perhaps use one of those exfoliating scrubber/sponge things).

Take breaks from applying high doses of pheros, so you are making sure you don' apply heavily everyday.

Stop using high doses everyday, and possibly limit "proper" doses to special occasions.

Use Perception (http://amkon.net/../pheromone-guide/products/mens/perception.htm), although this limits you to a single product.

Q: I've just bought my product, what now?




A: First of all, read up. Do a search on the forum (http://amkon.net/../test/faq/www.love-scent.com/forum) and look at the Product Guide (http://amkon.net/../pheromone-guide/products/pheromone-products.htm) here on the PheroLibrary, you can find lot's of very useful information just doing that (dosage, combo suggestions, etc.). Next, if it's a scented product, you should consider testing out the scent by applying a small amount to your wrist and smell it every 10 minutes or so. If it's unscented, doing the same thing can be useful for two reasons:
a) You will know if you can smell pheromones (very important if you don't want to be a walking stink bomb without knowing it)
b) You will be able to test if your cologne can cover the pheromone smell well.
After that, you should start thinking about testing. If you have done your research, you should have some idea about doses. The key with experimenting with a product is to be thorough and persistent, and to test in a variety of situations. Certainly don't just apply some and sit back and wait for a bite. 9/10 hits don't happen this way, so as a newbie just trying out his product your chances will be very slim. Try walking around, make eye contact, smile, and talk to people to see if you notice anything different. Don't become disheartened if you don't see anything, the explanation could be as simple as you missing a signal of interest.


Q: Have you guys tried/what's your opinion of [insert product name here]?
A: You are not likely to get many responses for this question (unless it's a product not from Love Scent Pheromone Store, in which case you can give the name but not the web address). You are better off doing a search (http://amkon.net/forum/search.php), the forum is a huge database of information and ALL of the products will have been discussed in the past.


Q: What is the "phero buzz" when you smell your pheros that I hear about?
A: It is most likely the result of your body reacting to the abnormally large amounts of pheromones it is being exposed to when you sniff your pheromone product bottle. It doesn’t happen to everyone, or even all the time, but when it does happen it’s almost like a spaced out feeling or an elevation of mood.


Q: I'm a gay male, what should I use?
A: You should wear products that accentuate your manliness, friendliness and approachability. So in other words, you should use the same products that guys use to attract women.


Q: I'm a gay female, what should I use?
A: The same products women use to enhance their attractiveness to men.


Q: As a man, is there anything I can do to attract lesbians?

Q: Will pheromones work for Asians?
A: There is no difference between the pheromones of an Asian person from anyone else, except perhaps in the natural levels of some of them (i.e. -none). There may also be a difference between the amount of pheromones produced with Asian people. Q: What do the different pheromones do?



A: We know of only a few pheromones, some of which we know are used in products and over the years we come to understand some of their effects from a combination of anecdotal evidence and research papers. Here is a brief outline of the most common ones:


Androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm) (aka -none, Anone): Signals dominance and aggression, quite competitive. -none is often associated with a sexual response, but by no means exclusively.

Androstenol (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenol.htm) (aka -nol, Anol): Signals youth, and sociability, often induces lots of talking, friendliness and comfort. As it often seems to cause conversation, it can be a good ice breaker.

Androsterone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androsterone.htm) (aka -rone, Arone): Signals masculinity. It also creates an impression of reliability and protection (i.e. "this is the alpha male who can look after me").

Q: SOE contains no androstenone, so why would it work out to attract females anyway?




A: SOE contains -nol and -rone. -nol is a unisex pheromone that signals youth and induces chattiness. This means SOE can often be useful for breaking the ice and getting conversations going. The addition of -rone establishes you as masculine which is very attractive to women. People have reported that SOE is good for breaking down personal space barriers and encouraging touching.


Q: Do pheromones really work a long time after I initiate the touch and conversation?
A: Yes. If you make an impression on someone, all of your contact/communication will be slightly enhanced (why they call it an 'edge') depending on person/situation. It’s like making a really good first impression. She’ll be more likely to remember you and more likely to talk to you if you run into each other again.


Q: How much should I use? Should I just dump lots on me?
A: Absolutely not! Pheromones are not more effective the more you wear, if nothing else you will be wasting money. A: Yes. For example, many people report female friends getting touchy all of a sudden. It should also be noted that people in marriages and long term relationships have reported an increase in intimacy, interest and sexual activity from their partners.


Q: Should I apply to my skin or my clothes?
A: The general consensus is that applying to skin is better, simply because that is the way nature intended it. It increases dispersal because of the body heat, and some feel that the products harmonize with the skin somewhat. Clothing applications can be more convenient, can last longer and can help avoid buildup, but pheromones have a tendency of staying on clothing even after washing. Q: What about pheromone releasing pills, are they worth a shot?
A: In short, no. The effects are not as strong or noticeable as with regular pheromone products, but the basic concept is good, even if the actual pill based products currently available are over priced and rubbish. Q: Is there any difference between scented and unscented versions apart from the scent?
A: No.


Q: Where can I find more information on my product?
A: A good place to start is here at the pherolibrary, especially the Product Guide (http://amkon.net/../pheromone-guide/products/pheromone-products.htm), or by doing a search (http://amkon.net/forum/search.php) on the Love-Scent forum. After that, you could try testing out your product to find how it works for you.


Q: What is the best pheromone or pheromone product for my situation?
A: Everybody has different body chemistry so no one product works the same for any two people. Your best bet is to read the pheromone reference library and do some reading on the forum (http://amkon.net/../test/faq/www.love-scent.com/forum) before trying anything. Armed with this information, you will have general ideas about what does what in what situation.


Q: Do unscented pheromone products actually have no scent?
A: No. Most pheromones have a musky smell which ranges from pleasant to stinky. -none is one of the worse smelling pheros, while -nol is more tolerable. Incidentally, it is reported that 1/4 of men can not smell -none, so if you are one of these men, be careful about how much you are applying, you may stink and not know it!


Q: How long will the pheromones last on my skin?
A: The short answer is about 8 hours. The long answer is, as usual, somewhat more complicated (see "Does anything happen to pheromones when they are on my skin?"). You may find that the optimum wearing time is much less than 8 hours.



In general, most products will be WORKING for a maximum of 6-8 hours, but:


some pheromones will be absorbed into your skin and stay there for longer (buildup)

smaller than effective amounts of pheromones will be present on your skin after 8 hours

bacterial action will cause some of the pheromones to be changed into other compounds

The [I]optimum working time for the products will be around 4 hours.





Q: Does anything happen to pheromones when they are on my skin? Do bacteria change them into anything else?
A: Yes, but you don't necessarily have to do anything about it. One thing that happens is that some pheromones get absorbed into you skin, which may or may not be a bad thing (see "Build-up. What is it, is it my problem, how can I cure/prevent it" in this FAQ). Another thing that happens is that bacteria begin to metabolize the pheromones. This means that they will change some of the pheromones on your skin into to something else, i.e. performing a bacterial conversion. Conversions are one of the main reasons for pheromones lasting only a limited time on your skin, and they can also lead to certain applications turning quite stinky. -nol is considered to be most at risk from being converted. Bacterial conversions are actually what makes sweat smell, so you can imagine what applying a product with lots of -nol in a bacteria rich environment must smell like.
The answer is quite simple; if you want to prevent conversions (you might not want to all of the time, but that's a separate issue) don't apply pheromones to areas rich in bacteria. These areas are usually the hairier areas, which is where your body naturally releases pheromonal compounds. Don't let this completely put you off putting pheromones in your pits or crotch area, you just have to be a bit more careful.


Q: Transdermal issues? Absorption? Effects? Mood? Steroid similarity?
A: When you apply a product, a certain amount will be absorbed into the skin. This is because of the carriers used in most of the products. This will reduce the amount of pheromones available on your skin to actually produce hits, and may lead to buildup. However, the amount absorbed isn't huge and so will not have a big impact on your results, and there are ways of combating buildup. Despite the fact that these compounds are similar to some steroids (androsterone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androsterone.htm) is the only one that is a male sex steroid and has any known direct affect on the body, albeit a small one), there is nothing to worry about because the quantities that could conceivably be transdermally absorbed are so low (consider a person wearing 1mg total a week, and perhaps 10% of that being absorbed), this will obviously have little effect on the body when compared to other androgens which are taken at 25mg per day and upwards.
However, pheromones can affect the balance of hormones in our body through pheromonal pathways (i.e. the nose), but this is a natural affect of exposure to pheromones. Cops is reputed to raise T levels by 150%, and -nol caused a LH spike which in turn causes an increase in testosterone, but these are only temporary, lasting perhaps an hour.


Q: Can copulins be worn by men to attract women?
A: To be honest, we don't know, and don't believe anyone who claims otherwise. There are several theories and good threads on the forum (don't forget the older threads), so take a look there (www.love-scent.com/forum/search.php (http://amkon.net/forum/search.php)). Maybe you can try it out for yourself and let us know what you find.


Q: What are the best application points?
A: Generally, anywhere that creates a good rate of dispersal is considered good. These also happen to be where you would normally apply cologne. Your neck and wrists are good, and you should also think about places where your target's nose might end up, if you see what I mean. Q: OD - what is it?
A: An OD is when you apply to much of a pheromone or pheromone product. If you stay within the limits described in the product guide you should be ok, but remember to start experimenting with low doses first. However, large doses of pheromones can have a good affect, but you have to be aware that negative reactions will increase as you wear more pheromones.

People avoiding you

People being aggressive with you

People being intimidated by you. This can make women too scared to flirt with you, not a good thing!

Q: How do these pheromones work with my naturally produced pheromones?




A: Your natural pheromones exist at levels many times lower than the quantities you will regularly be applying with your
products. However, if your natural pheromone output is very high (like when you are young), you may find it easier to OD.


Q: Should I be mixing my products to get better effects?
A: Not initially. Try using every product on it's own first; it's much easier to create a mix if you know what you are mixing, and the best way to gain knowledge is to learn what reactions a product gives in particular situations.

Q: How does a person know that you are the one wearing the pheromones?
A: This is the same as asking "how does everyone know it's me wearing the great cologne". Hopefully this will shed some light (e.g. the concentration will increase as a person gets closer to the source), but there is an extra twist that is an advantage pheromones have over regular smells - as long as you know how to take advantage of it. Because pheromones are associated with various things, alphaness and approachability are two examples, acting the part the pheromones you are wearing portray you as is very important. If you don't, you might find that the guy near you acting like an alpha male will get all of the hits.


Q: Why can't I smell the typical pheromone smell in one product when I can in another?


A: Not all pheromones smell the same. Androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm) is typically the one associated with the urinous/BO smell. So, because not all products contain androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm), or even the same concentration of androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm), different products will have different "pheromone smells". Also, androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm) does not smell the same from all manufacturers - Stone Labs' androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm) is the most "clean" smelling, something to do with the amount of impurities. However, this doesn't mean that certain manufacturers make better androstenone (http://amkon.net/../human-pheromones/androstenone.htm).
The fragrance of a product will also help to cover up the pheromone smell.
