Orly?

The previously unknown deposits — including huge veins of iron, copper, cobalt, gold and critical industrial metals like lithium — are so big and include so many minerals that are essential to modern industry that Afghanistan could eventually be transformed into one of the most important mining centers in the world, the United States officials believe.

O-fucking-rly?

Afghanistan could become the “Saudi Arabia of lithium,” a key raw material in the manufacture of batteries for laptops and Blackberries.

Thank Jezzizzz.

But the Taliban will not necessarily be happy with permanent foreign occupation and pillage... nor competition of new entrepreneurs with their poppy trade.

Where are Team America World Police when you need them? In and out for the quick win, puppet sex then gone, leaving no trace.

I don't think Mohammed Omar was as "successful" in declaring opium to be unIslamic business as the recent history books try to tell us.

There has been more opium poppy cultivation in each of the past four growing seasons (2004–2007) than in any one year during Taliban rule. Also, more land is now used for opium in Afghanistan than for coca cultivation in Latin America. In 2007, 93% of the opiates on the world market originated in Afghanistan.

I guess I should have oiled the trunion-detector-clamp-phase-coupling- disembulator before warming the milk?

Perhaps the consensus that is yet to be reached (in both Afghanistan and whatever it is outside the borders of that mineral-opium-hashish rich nation that Afghanis refer to as the rest of the world) is "who is it exactly that runs Afghanistan?"

The better half stated today, after seeing the news

What are we doing looking for minerals there? Did some one shoot at the ground and a mineral popped out.

They use bomb runs to aid them in collecting underground samples.

Last evening I met a member of Ronin group.

While talking he alluded to the future instance of Iran being invaded.

I asked him what he did for this company and he told me "make equipment".

I said " like mining equipment?"

"for what?" he replied.

"Minerals of some sort"

He looked at me puzzled "how do you know of that?"

"cuz I'm special" I stated with a smile.

-and he handed me a card.

It's just that the recent American regime has been good at mining for enemies.

Finally! The US of A finally found what it was looking for all along. The "war" was never about 911. The "war" was never about Bin Laden. Now we can finally end this ridiculous "war" and control Afghanistan so we can take its minerals. And maybe, just maybe, kill Bin Laden if we happen to come upon him by accident.

Problem is.....they kinda' need some way to get the product to a coast for the most economical method of shipping. That would be through Pakistan....problem is, Pakistan has been implicated as supporting the Taliban for some time now. The campaign isn't being waged only in Afghanistan.

Xe is Blackwater II. Eric was the CEO. I think he quit.
