Taking a break from my lab, in Jeanerette I
was strolling along the coast.
The Sun was bright, the day just right.
I spotted a glimmer, in the sand, just at
the water's edge.
Picking it up, it looked like a mini-Tobasco
bottle that came in the MRE's, when Uncle
Sam employed me.
Upon further curious inspection, it looked
like it had a tiny piece of paper inside.
I rushed back to the lab (much to the consternation
of the others) and carefully removed it from the
bottle.
With my best bi-focals, I couldn't make out the text.
Using one of our microscopes, I finally got it.
"I'm a crab. Please help us."
I hung my head, in shame.
