I don't think it is necessary, the people that voted so far probably saw all the entries already and knew who they were voting for.
I thought this thread was to remind people that hadn't that they should :D, there is some good stuff here.

I voted for Cockfail's poem because his 'The hammer I must swing myself' line really stuck in my head.
Lex's bit was well written... the part about throwing the medals into his mother's lap was the most memorable image, it should've been in the main text.

The fact is that among all the entries only Hazel's resisted that executioner of creativity- self aggrandizement. Her's was a truly moving plaint from the heart. no gratuitous absolution offered or taken. i also think that Duck's commentary on her Grandfather deserved to be included here. It was similarly pure in intent.
