I see both sides of this issue. Lex may be a paranoid but he's earned it. Is anyone specifically denying that there are Ufer collections sites out there in the voids being manipulated and studied by the IC? It's always been my feeling that that is the precise function of ATS, GLP and OMF. They're mobbed up with collectors of information on perceived subversives. Whenever that truth is broached a member is consigned to the netherworld. We just watched it happen on this new site in real time. I do lean towards the ATS connection made by Lex and Cog. Would such an occasion be so unusual and over the top? I think that STFU may serve the same function for the collectors which is the only reason that I won't post there any longer.

And as for Amkon? I feel that, while not a CI collections project per se, we have been engaged and infiltrated nonetheless. That is the point of these various recruiting/ bodysnatching efforts- most recently by Ufonuts and STFU. I see it as a winnowing tactic. What we're watching unfold is the logical extension of the program first identified by Gary Barker 50 years ago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Barker). personally i dont have a problem with lex looking into the background of a site that is the first and only post of a newly registered member. it is suspicious or merely spam, but deserves researching, even just quick google searches.
however BK makes a good point too and one that has concerned us all at various times over the past 2 years and that is how often new members who might have added much needed diversity to the forum leave after a short while.
