cool a Bliv, even Apeci enjoyed that one

you can see the contrail from the launch pad at about 2:58?

and the nozzle that lands at the end you can see above and between the 3 main chutes

I said to JL how the light effect was identical to the "lemon-coloured" swatch that Howard Menninger said was the same colour as the atmosphere when viewed from the lunar surface

I dont think anyone commented on that, not even John

you can hear a lot of interesting sounds, although i guess its all amplified by a hollow metal cylinder.

right at the start you can hear a pile of crap rain down on it after initial jettison. (sparks?)

near the end before it hits the water you can see lots of little bits flying off it (or appears to come off it)

i do like the way theres not much to see at the start, mostly black and a yellow patch, then all of a sudden the blue earth comes into view, amazing footage really.

yeah the camera gives an unusual perspective alright, the "yellow" is the sun reflecting off the earths surface, al though the lens must bend the light to give the impression the dark patch is the earth, early in the clip

the sound effects really make it alright

Wow awesome video kiwi, thanks for sharing. That'd be one helluva descent into the atmosphere eh? Puts our existence in perspective certainly. Tiny ants we are. Hell, ants serve a purpose on this planet, we're parasites...

Cool vid. A bit like what this nutter wants to do.

The Austrian extreme sportsman Felix Baumgartner says his next goal is to try to break the long-standing record for the highest ever parachute jump. It is 50 years since the American Joe Kittinger made history by leaping from a balloon at 102,800ft (31km).

Speak for yourself skunky... I live a purposeful life.

Kiwi, what a great video... I truly think that I would shit in my pants looking back at the Earth from that altitude... Thanks for sharing M8!
