And as usual, another weird symbolic dream happened last night...
Point form:
- Travelling a road
- Saw people playing with kites (testing them out beside a forest)
- Kites that were as large as ancient legendary 'thunderbirds'
- Strings fell off
- Kites 'melded into' HUGE birds.
- Birds were diving in and out of the sky
- Thunderbirds starting taking on the shape of planes
~end part 1 of dream~
Part 2:
- Huge labyrinth mazes (stairs/rooms/hallways)
- People were 'meant to travel certain routes' until certain choices were made, then the maze changed it's shape.
- Saw familiar names (literally- their name emblazoned at certain points in maze)
- Some were of a physical nature - meaning what type game sports etc. Others were for mental dexterity

Maureen Clemmons, an aeronautics professor at the California Institute of Technology, thinks the ancient Egyptians may have used kites to build the Pyramids. No one has ever figured out how the Egyptians, who did not have the wheel, were able to move huge stones large distances and hoist them into place. The Egyptians left no pictures showing the pyramids under construction, leading to speculation among some researchers that they were actually built by an earlier civilization.
Clemmons first thought of the idea while looking through a book on the monuments of Egypt. She noticed a hieroglyph showing a row of men standing in odd postures, holding what looked like ropes that were tied to what appeared to be a giant mechanical bird in the sky. She wondered if it could be a giant kite.

Wow Ducky, what an awesome dream.
The Thunderbird is a legendary creature in North American indigenous peoples' history and culture. It's considered a "supernatural" bird of power and strength. It is especially important, and richly depicted, in the art, songs and oral histories of many Pacfic Northwest Coast cultures, but is also found in various forms among the peoples of the American Southwest and Great Plains. Thunderbirds were major components of the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex of American prehistory.
The Thunderbird's name comes from that common belief that the beating of its enormous wings causes thunder and stirs the wind. The Lakota name for the Thunderbird is Wakį́yą, a word formed from kįyą́, meaning "winged," and wakhą́, "sacred." The Kwakwaka'wakw have many names for the Thunderbird and the Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) called him Kw-Uhnx-Wa. The Ojibwa word for a thunderbird that is closely associated with thunder is animikii, while large thunderous birds are known as binesi another name for these beasts are Kirin the kirin isn't exactly a thunder bird but the tearm kirin is japanese beast for a thunder beast.

Not quite sure.
I guess it all depends on one's state of mind before we hit the hay. Was thinking about different people at the time, and mabey it played out that way (symbollically) in the dream.
edit to add:
Sometimes my dreams are prophetic...but to certain degrees.
As to what the giant thunderbird represents...dunno.

It doesn't matter. I just thought it sounded intriguing.
I agree with you though. It does seem like our dreams are a remix or blend of our conscious thoughts.
Get yourself a good dream book Ducky, I've a few, but I don't dream, just dead to the world, I'd sleep through anything. :D
