This thread will remain locked is now open, and is only meant as a guide as to how to use some of the new features on AmKon 2.0.
I have been meaning to write this thread for some time now, sorry for the delay.
If you have any additional questions, please send one of admins a private message, and we'll have it added to the how-to thread here.

Posting
There is a quick reply option at the bottom of each thread, as well as the post reply button.

The post reply button will take you to the "advanced" reply, where you have the option of customizing your post with all sorts of bbcode.

Reputation
We have a feature similar to the smites on the old board called "reputation".
The points are essentially worthless, and cannot be traded in for fancy titles or any such ridiculous bullshit.
On the amkon green/yellow skin, the reputation button is denoted by the check/minus icon.
The smite/rep button is highlighted here with a red square

On the default/ufo skin, the reputation button is denoted bye the scales icon.

You can either give someone positive or negative reputation, and have the option of leaving a comment, or not.

Quoting
Quoting is pretty straight forward, click the quote button.
But what if you want to quote multiple posts?
You can click the "multiquote" button next to the quote icon, and up to 3 posts at once (I believe its 3, correct me if I'm wrong pack) can be quoted.
Once you have the desired quotes, click the post reply button, and all the posts will show up in the advanced reply screen.
A nifty feature with the multiquote button allows you to quote posts from more than one thread :p

Quoting off site material (ie from websites)
If you are quoting an external website, please use the offsite tags
The button looks like this in advanced mode --> http://amkon.net/images/custom/offiste.gif
or use the following bbcode:
-Material from external website-
Instead of using the quote tag, replace with offsite.
Easy right?
Make sure to cite the source as well.

User CP (control panel)
When you open up the CP, you will see a list of your subscribed threads, as well as the most recent reputation other users have given you.
Custom User title
If you wish to change your user title (right below your username, for instance right now mine says don't feed the trolls), you can do so under "edit your details", and then "custom user title".
When you are satisfied with any changes to your settings, make sure to click save changes at the bottom.
Profile Privacy
If you move on down to profile privacy, you can customize who is able to see what.
Profile picture vs. Avatar
This has been a cause of confusion for quite a few, myself included.
There is a difference between your profile picture and avatar.
The avatar is the picture that shows up with your posts, and the profile picture, well, that shows up on your profile.
You will have to upload two different images if you wish to have a picture at both locations.
Friends, contacts, and Ignoring users
The friend system makes it easier to send private messages, it really serves no other purpose.
You can find the ignore option under "edit ignore list". Add a member, and you will no longer see their posts.
Social Groups
Similar to facebook and other social networking site, social groups are there for people to have a bit of fun and serves no purpose either really...
Albums
The album is nice because you can upload pictures to your photo album and link them in threads.

User CP continued (the options tab)
Under the "edit options" tab, you have the option of becoming "invisible" to other users. Pretty much the same thing as phpbb3 when you logged in as hidden.
You can decide if you want to automatically subscribe to threads you have posted in, or not, under "default thread subscription mode".
By default, this should be off.
You can disable/enable your visitor message (your "wall" on your profile page) if you so choose as well.
Thread Display options
This is a nifty feature.
Scroll down to "number of posts to show per page" and you can select...how many posts show up per page.
By default this is set to 10, but I have mine set to 40 so instead of 2000 page long threads, they're only 500 pages :p.
Very helpful for some of the lengthy discussions we have here, especially with the live topic feature.
Setting your default skin or layout for the board
Way at the bottom is the "forum skin" option.
You can choose which skin format you like best, instead of using the default amkon green by default.
Remember, make sure to click save changes at the bottom if you want to change your settings!

Some examples of how to use bbcode properly. Below are the most commonly used bbcode tags, if you have any questions about how to post other ones send a pm to an admin.
When quoting offsite (from another website):
text here
when quoting onsite:
text here
You can indicate who you are quoting by this tag:
text here
When posting a youtube video:
the entire text after the equals sign
When posting a google video:
the entire text after the equals sign
If you want to justify your text to the center of the page:
text you want centered
Spoiler tag:
the text you want to be hidden by a spoiler tag here
You can also leave a reason by using:
text
When embedding an image into your post:
entire url here

Uploading picture/file to posts and your album
There seems to be some confusion as to how to upload pictures to individual posts, so I'll try clarifying the procedure.
You have to post an advanced reply in order to upload an attachment to a post, quick reply will not work.
Below the text box where you would normally write your post there is a button called "manage attachments".
Click that and a new window will open. Click "choose file", select the file on your computer, and when you have decided which file you would like click "upload".
You can also upload from a web page. Enter the web page url and click upload.
What you have accomplished is uploading a picture, actually any approved filetype (bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip) to your particular post.
In order to embed your picture in the post, click on the hotlink and open the picture in a new window.
Now take that url and place the image tags around it.
For example:
entire image url here
Alternatively, you can upload your pictures to your photo album (http://amkon.net/album.php) and use the same method as above.

Just figured out how to link directly to a post in a thread without having to use the "single post" button.
I'll use one of the posts in this thread as an example.
For example, I want to be taken to this post:
http://amkon.net/showpost.php?p=330613&postcount=8
But I want to see it as part of the larger thread, and not as a single post.
What I would do is take the "post ID", which is the 6 digit number after p=, which in this case is 330613, and place 330613 around it.
For example, this:
330613
Would show up as:
330613
The easiest way to figure out the "post ID" is to click on the number on the top right of the post in question.

Dump all of the "embed" string (starts with <iframe...) between the gmap tags. Worked like a charm.

Do we have a % of anything we can [offsite],
