about 20k USD of jet engines.
probably another 5k+ in the plane, other electronics, retract landing gear etc etc.

would have been about 30k +
not to mention the man hours building and assembling
:o

edit, oh hell, 8 gas turbines? theyre about 5k USD each for the cheapies, depending on size, brand etc.
the average RC jet engine (just one) is about 7k in oz
try about 50k+ for that b52 RC

Century, that F1 crash was awesome! I have just recently begun to get into open wheel racing and have to say that I prefer it to NASCAR. It is actual racing, as opposed to NASCAR, which literally goes around in circles.

A blackbird flew over my head while hiking in Canyonlands National Park in Utah.

My hiking group walks down into this valley, and all of a sudden an SR-71 comes screaming towards us.

It does a hard bank to slow itself down, and there it is, right above us.

The sound of its engine was amplified by the canyon walls, and couldn't have been more than 500 feet above us.

Those planes are beautiful.

I don't know about that, the twin vertical stabilizers of the F-15 have a certain "fuck you" about them that I find both intimidating and down right sexy.

the dude stalled, when your on the side like that the wings give zero lift and your relying on the motor/prop to pull the plane through the air.

you can see the plane stall, his wing rocks right over past vertical as he loses the last bit of lift and the plane plummets.

Very lucky dude, it's fortunate you're always close to the water at quite low speed eh.
