It still is that. We had to change running, banning of members, specifically through the Council; as it just didn't work. An example of this is Pornoleo, that degenerate joined, and posted gay porn in several threads; in cases like this we realized the purpose of running the bans through the council just didn't work; as speed was of the essence. Had we waited, then Pornoleo could have really caused some serious problems; as intended.

We never lied to anyone. The obligations, or the outline of what the Council was about **is** posted in the Council Chambers. It is sticky'd at the top. No one can force anyone to read anything, and sometimes, things end in almost a moot point. The below link is on the "board index" page in the upper left side. In there you all will read what the duties are between Warren, Wyleecoyote, and myself. It seems as with the thread in the Council Chamber outlining what the Council is about; not many have read the thread below.

Beyond that, All moderators are intended to first enjoy the boards, and have agreed to help moderate our boards in line with the T&C's. I have been checking a couple of things to assure myself of the truth. Anarch's (or someone's) council post got me to go back and look at the comments.
There is no saving the FNGs showing up at this point.
It goes against my grain for pricks to do shit and get away with it but, as mentioned, the FNGs are too screwed up to learn anyway.
I have taken a liking to the idea of pestering a couple of places just so they can enjoy some of the grief they create.

BTW I do enjoy in instant thread update when doing a quick reply... I know of no other site that does that.... Is that an regular feature that nobody chooses to use or something that was coded specifically by amkon?

Its actually a modification of a previously existing script I found...
Thought it would be nice for when we get to the more serious food fights...
actually, It doesn't write to the database when it goes 'live'... instead, it waits and writes to the db incrementally throughout the live-topic experience...
I went through great pains to keep the sql queries down to a minimum... thus... why this site is screaming fast regardless of our HUGE database (currently over 140 meg and counting!)
