I've noticed Coburn's middle symbol in his avatar.
From my understanding, this 'triple M' symbol containing a 'tail' within the center of the triangle is synonamous with an 'invocation' to bring about perhaps 'demonic' influences.
As we are all aware, Cogburn has stipulated that he is of 'Thelemic' practices - a fan of Alister Crowley.

Not everything exists online, Ducky. I transcribed that myself in order to get a clean version suitable for use. I guess I could break it down for you.
First off, this is a hermetic seal, not a sigil of the Goetia, per se. It employs the same school of thought, with out the need for ritual: if properly crafted, observance of the seal is enough to empower the psychological effect in the viewer.
This one in particular is the Seal of Ignatius. It is employed to empower the viewer to be able to ask questions that may otherwise go unasked or even unconceived. It is the seal of gradual enlightenment, offering influence over the task of assigning order to chaos. Given the nature of this forum, I thought a little gradual enlightenment might be appropriate.

And by the way, we've discussed this before. I know it's not a demonic seal... but not everyone knows that. To go even further, not everyone knows the nature and the absolutely personal proximity of demonic entities.
I might be dumbing down otherwise very advanced concepts for the people here, but that's because ya know... I feel dumb with the rest of 'em. If indeed we're dealing with demons and spirits and powers of inconcievable strength... if indeed it is all so advanced and hardly worth explaining because it's so hard to understand, then what's the point of it even existing? It's not practical to someone with a life outside of mystery teachings. I tried my hand at elitism and stuff. I'm not smart enough to pretend to know the complexities of hardcore hermetics right now.
What's basically clear is that your mind, at its base, is simple and elegant... and through generation and perpetuation of the soul, it becomes corrupted and confused amidst a sea of chaos... Those perfect ANGLES of the Mind from which Sol emanates become refracted every which way, and distorted.... and outof the basic ANGLES comes DEMEANED versions of what once was simple, elegant, pure, and perfect.... ducky.
ANGLES = DEMEANS. Or GOD DAMNED. To be Damned is to be demeaned, or plagued by personal demons, perhaps even becoming a demon in the process.
It's more a debasement of simple geometry than anything else.
Making what once was Universally understood into something needlessly complex.
Although, I'll admit... confusion has advanced civilization from out of the jungle.... so it was a necessary step.... but now.... it must be told that the esoteric truth starts with simple elegance. Some see that simple elegance as something demonic. I know it disturbed me at first.
The postulation that you must be a mathematician in order to make it in the esoteric world seems like it may be perpetuated by either people who believe that hording knowledge gives them the upper hand, or by people who only have indirect awareness of such things.

Like Cog was saying, the symbol is meant to invoke subconscious thoughts and emotions. If its thought to be evil or demonic, thats what it is.
Although, I think if one were to dissect the symbol and look at it first in pieces and then as a whole, the interpretation would be quite different.

I actually think that is excactly the direction the owners want ATS to take, they want it to be some sort of news agency. They also recently tried out a concept with funny clown Johnny Anonymours presenting "news" videos... Oh, man, what a major epic fail. Way to go to make a joke out of everything ATS once stood for. Members were NOT impressed by this either.
