Until he's convicted and still drives, you haven't got anything on the NFL or NBA.

You are, for once, correct.

We don't have a minority repayment program. And man are they getting some back!

Although the French do, It's called the national football team.

I'm really hopping that they fire up the LHC and create a black hole that just sucks down France and then seals up in the blink of an eye.

LHC FTW

Last race of the season and schumi almost gets his head taken off!!

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/2010-11-14-504600906_x.htm) — Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher's unexpected return to Formula One was supposed to be the feel-good story of the 2010 season. Instead, he became a footnote in a scintillating four-man battle for the title.

The German's season, to some degree, could be summed up by his dismal showing at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He started seventh after a decent qualifying performance, but went out in the first lap in a crash that could have been a lot worse.

The Force India car of Vitantonio Liuzzi went over the top of Schumacher's Mercedes, which had spun out on the track, just missing the German's head. The pair walked away unscathed, with Schumacher waving to fans and smiling as he left the track.

"I went off the line, spun and, because of the dirt there, the back of the car just came around," Schumacher said. "It's a shame obviously as I would have liked to finish the season with a more positive ending, but I am already looking forward to fighting again next year."

When Schumacher returned after three years in retirement, questions arose whether his legendary status would be enhanced or damaged. He had little to prove by coming back, with his 91 race wins, 68 pole positions and 76 fastest laps all F1 records.

"I never left the racetrack I kept the motivation and maintained it," Schumacher said in December. "I still feel absolutely on the edge. I have to prove it in a real car."

But 2010 will be one of the most disappointing for the 41-year-old German. Stuck in an inferior Mercedes car, Schumacher never finished better than fourth and had many uncharacteristic placings, including coming 15th at the European GP, 13th in Singapore and 12th at Monaco. He finished the season in ninth place in the drivers' championship.

Despite his struggles, Schumacher has tried to remain upbeat all season.

"The season is coming to an end and I have to say that I am very impressed with how our guys have coped with it, especially in the last few flyaway races," he said before the Brazil GP. "Even though we have not had any big developments recently, we have still delivered promising performances."

There has been speculation that Schumacher's return will be short-lived, but he insists he will be back. Many of the team principals have defended his decision to return to the track.

"Clearly, he's a seven-time world champion," Williams chief executive officer Adam Parr said. "He's an exceptionally talented, brilliant driver without question at all. And nothing that he's done this year changes his incredible achievements."

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner praised Schumacher's comeback, given everything he has achieved in F1.

"When you have won seven world championships and over 90 grands prix, it's a hell of a (courageous) thing at (41) to say, 'OK, I'll come back and take on the current best of the crop.'

"You've got to admire the guy for taking that decision in coming back. He not been in the best car. I'm sure he won't be satisfied with his season, but he's a determined competitor and I think it's good to have him back in Formula One. It would be nice to have him in a quicker car, as long as it's behind us."
