i just purchased another plane, a Pitts Special S2a, aerobatic biplane.
should arrive in a few weeks. :)

push a button and a jet of smoke blasts your way ;)
The checkering looks pretty cool.

The checkering looks pretty cool.
it helps with orientation of the plane when you have the bottom a different pattern to the top, since RC pilots rely almost entirely on line of sight and visual cues(eg plane losing altitude) to fly
Sounds like a good idea developed from difficult times.
Yesterday a pilot was spraying of field of to the east of here. Kept making passes of my place on the turns. Yellow plane.

ok, i took her up for the maiden flight last night at sunset.
my flycam2 doesnt really like low light so its a little grainy, the cam was taped to the peak of my baseball cap.
she's as agile as a cat and a beautiful plane to fly.
extremely low wing loading gives good thrust to weight ratio, quad ailerons for good roll authority.
since it has a symetrical wing it flies fantastic inverted but needs to be flown right down to the ground to land it smoothly, unlike your average clark Y foil wing which will float and glide in but will lose a LOT of lift if flown inverted or aerobatics attempted.
