I've notice many people seemed to have been banned in recent times. I really haven't kept any track of this sort of thing but looking at some of the registers here and obviously at places such as SHTF, it does seem like something went on over there.

I suppose Bill & Co. could have just gotten a shorter fuse or may be something is in the works.

Of course, it could be business as usual, remember the debate forum era migration.

Any recent bannees have any inside info about this or is it just fall clearance time over there.

Interesting that this comes on the heels of the GLP purge.

The bans of prolific thread creators who have now formed their own 'council', happened after two things i noticed...

1. Johnny Anonymous news casts started
2. Ads in videos and their revamped media centre

So my conclusion, they are pushing for an ROI after their first round investement and need to go more mainstream by targeting threads that are more sh-eeple friendly. Perhaps 'way out there' threads that were closer to the truth than they wanted, meant their investors wouldn't be happy and the eyes of their dark over-lords didn't want it publicised.

Rupert: "Clean this shithole up and I'll give yous 50 mil Austaylian for it."
Sphincter: "Coming right up, sir."

To be fair, I'd do what it takes to get $50million, and fuck anybody else.

Yeah.

That's exactly what Sphincter and Ubertard decided too. And so if a bunch of ridiculous fuckwits were shit-canned along with their stupid and tedious threads- what do the amigos care? At the end of the day it's not about denying ignorance- it's about denying poverty- their own.

I'm just thinking - I'm the owner of a mega popular forum, I'm not making much money, I believe in my forum and defend it and its contributors rights to talk shite. Somebody says "here joe, here's a couple of million, but you need to get rid of undesirables", it'd be like "just gimme the description of undesirable, just gimme it (and the cheque) man!", LOL.

Some thought that same thing then Crakeur claimed 'it wasn't so'. At least that's how I remember it. Pack? Skunk?

You nailed it, Joe. That's all it's about.

Oddly, I have more scruples.

Just me, though.

Scruples? Hell- it's nothing but a business to be disposed of as the owner sees fit. I don't believe there were ever any ethical considerations at play among the owners of so*hai. They're in business to make a buck.

Yeah.

Having scruples can suck.

Seems other sites have "screw peoples".

Out of what, you may ask ?

The rest of their members actually learning
something.
