Collapse Movie (http://www.collapsemovie.com/COLLAPSEMOVIE/synopsis.htm)
To view the trailer, you'll have to visit here (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/collapse/). I couldn't find anything on youtube or google video to embed.
He deals in "conspiracy fact", not conspiracy theories.
Americans generally like to hear good news. They like to believe that a new President will right old wrongs, that clean energy will replace dirty oil, and that fresh thinking will set the economy straight. American pundits tend to restrain their pessimism and to hope for the best. But is anyone prepared for the worst? Michael Ruppert is a different kind of American. A former Los Angeles police officer turned independent reporter, he predicted the current financial crisis in his self-published newsletter “From the Wilderness” at a time when most Wall Street and Washington analysts were still in denial. Smith has always had a feeling for outsiders in films like “American Movie” and “American Job.” In “Collapse,” Smith stylistically departs from his past films by interviewing Ruppert in a format that recalls the work of Errol Morris and Spalding Gray. Sitting in a room that looks like a bunker, Ruppert recounts his career as a radical thinker and spells out the crises he sees ahead. He draws upon the same news reports and data available to any Internet user, but he applies a unique interpretation. He is especially passionate over the issue of “peak oil,” the concern raised by scientists since the 1970s that the world will eventually run out of fossil fuel. While other experts debate this issue in measured tones, Ruppert doesn’t hold back at sounding an alarm. He portrays a future that resembles apocalyptic science fiction. Listening to his rapid flow of opinions, the viewer is likely to question some of the rhetoric as paranoid or deluded; and to sway back and forth on what to make of the extremism. Smith lets viewers form their own judgments.

You can also read Mike Ruppert's (http://mikeruppert.blogspot.com/) blog if you are interested in this guy.
It looks like a woman named Jenna Orkin is now running his site...Mike might be dead. I know he wasn't healthy a few years ago, but supposedly recovered...
He's the main reason I took a second look at 911, but I can't find the speech he gave...It was like an hour or two long.

The problem is that this movie will only be showing at a few theaters across the country when it first comes out.
I can think of a few reasons why...

Here's a very interesting article from 2 days ago. It describes the hell Ruppert has gone through regarding Collapse.

Good article, a must read. Here's just a part of it.

Right after 911, I was on the internet looking for info about it. As soon as it happened, I knew there was some kind of govt involvement. I went straight home and found the PNAC document, with its plan of "needing a new Pearl Harbor" to get the people's consent for military "full spectrum dominance". Soon after, I found Mike Ruppert's site and have followed him ever since. His office was raided (most likely by the feds) and he had to leave the country, going to Venezuela at first and then Canada. He finally had to shut down his From the Wilderness site. Not sure where he's living now. He's faced lawsuits, phony smears and disinfo about him and alot of other things that involve govt harassment. He was quite sick but I believe he has gradually improved. He's had to live off donations, as he's lost everything and paid $45,000 in trumped up lawsuits.
He's really given his all for the truth to be known to the American people, IMHO.

I'm still going to see this movie when it comes out, if it comes to my area. If nothing else I'll rent it when it comes out on dvd.
Mike Ruppert has been wrong in the past apparently...
According to counterknowledge he was duped by "Delmart Vreeland" in regards to part of his 911 story (ie the foreknowledge).
9/11 truther Michael Ruppert exposed as victim of con man Delmart Vreeland (http://counterknowledge.com/2009/01/911-truther-michael-ruppert-exposed-as-victim-of-con-man-delmart-vreeland/)
I don't know how credible counter knowledge is, this is my first time visiting so if anyone knows anything about them let me know.

However, then "Rich" responded with this in the comment section:
Joseph, You are very wide of the mark here in your assumptions that Mike Ruppert was naive and uncritically accepted Delmart Vreeland’s claims.
If you have taken the time to read the relevant chapters in Crossing The Rubicon, then you will already be aware that Ruppert was suspicious that Vreeland was a “dangle”. Ruppert quotes a conversation with ex CIA counter terrorism officer Leutrell Osborne, in which Osborne claimed that people with similar backgrounds to Vreeland (low-level criminality like cocaine use, burglary, car theft, assault etc) had been used on similar missions to the one described by Vreeland. That of course does not verify Vreeland’s claims but it does provide an interesting operational parallel for consideration.
Ruppert also specifically calls Vreeland’s claims about SDI “disinformation” (p294). Regarding the space based missile defence involvement alleged by Vreeland, Ruppert states: “He filled his website and phone conversations with details of how the system worked…I never reported on it because I had no ability to verify any of his claims. Quite frankly, I never really believed him” (p305).
Ruppert clearly did not naively and gullibly accept these claims, as Joseph claims above. Clearly, his “bullshit detector” was fully functioning!
The facts show that Ruppert was sceptical and cautious in dealing with Vreeland’s claims.
And Ruppert was certainly prescient in predicting that his investigation into Vreeland would be used to discredit him:
“I knew Vreeland was going to be used to discredit me…” (p292).
From an academic perspective, I think it’s fair to say that the clearly perjorative use of the word “truther” displays a certain bias.

Ah, counter "knowledge". Right:
Exposing conspiracy theories, cults, quack medicine, bogus science and fake history
You can hardly blame them, they're british
Cogburn

I was gonna say... This smacks of a whitewash of Ruppert to discredit his claims of CIA involvement in the drug war.
Each time one of these conspiracy icons steps out of their bailiwick, their intellectual foot always lands in a pile of dogshit.
Ruppert damaged his own credibility when he jumped on the 9/11 bandwagon and now he is paying the price.
From the attribution in skunk's quote, even Ruppert would seem to indicate that would be the case.
<sigh> Dumbasses. Lie down with dogs...

mike ruppert is one of the few people i wil take info from, and not have to double check each and every fact afterwards.
supposedly, collapse is supposed to be available as a pay-per-view/on-demand viewing on most cable systems.
sorry if that was posted already.
im looking fwd to seeing this movie.
i had thought he was on the verge of death for a while, he relocated to south america after having his offices trashed and info stolen.
for a while, his from the wilderness site wasnt being updated, just a msg here and there while he was ill by his friends that snuck him out of the country.
i was very glad to see he finished this project, and he was doing a bit better.
im sure he was probably poisoned or something along those lines.
most people that have spoken out in the past are either silenced, discredited, or simply said to be whacko.
none of those attempts worked on him, and thats why i trust 99.9 pct of his stuff.
