View Full Version : 2012 Entertainment
I generally think the 2012 stuff is nonsense...however I just saw this clip on youtube and quite frankly, I was entertained.

I'm looking forward to seeing this one!
The trailor is pretty wild'; going on the premise of 'worst case scenerios' fuelled by naysayers in the last so many decades. The prophets and 'futurists' that claimed to have forseen these calamities are probably having a field day with this one, and no doubt, their new age book sales and other paraphenalia are topping the bookstands as we speak.

During the driving segment one of the kids should of been killed so theres real shock value. A kids neck sliced open or his head caved in from debri would of been nice. It would have gave the real terror of the situation instead of imagining a universal studious ride.
The movie looks entertaining. I want to see how the director plays everything out.

fuck! i'm outa here. i gao a meeting at my office 12 minutes ago! vaya con carne, amigos.
It`s going to be good "switch your brain off and enjoy" fun, just don`t expect any realism.
Remember the virus written on an apple laptop bringing down the mothership in Independence day?
Emmerlich doesn`t care much about plotlines, but the visuals look great, looking forward to seeing it on the big screen

You remember when ID4 came out?
Y2K was looming on the horizon.
The X-Files was at its their peak.
Ruby Ridge, Waco and OKC were still fresh in the public conscious.
Emmerlich is a master at marketing to retards.
EDIT: Myself included, mind you.

remake of Independence Day?
the movie looks like good entertainment, however the thing that really pissed me off was an interview with a writer or director, not sure which.
and he said "the mayans knew something about the end of the world that we don't".
seriously give me a fucking break.
after the release of this there are going to be millions of impressionable kids that will actually believe that the mayan's were able to forecast the end of the world, instead of understanding that what they describe is merely a cycle within an astronomical calender.
fucking douche bags....but i'll probably watch it anyway.

What ever happened to Randolf Scott. Or for that matter Akira Kurosawa.
remake of Independence Day?
No, an updating of the much better 80s series where human looking aliens are actually reptilian under their skins
from wiki:
A race of aliens arrive on Earth in a fleet of 50 huge, saucer-shaped motherships, which hover over major key cities across the world. They reveal themselves on the roof of the United Nations building in New York City, appearing human but requiring special glasses to protect their eyes and having a distinctive resonance to their voices. Simply referred to as the Visitors, they reach out in friendship, ostensibly seeking the help of humans to obtain chemicals and minerals needed to aid their ailing world. In return, the Visitors promise to share their advanced technology with humanity. The governments of Earth accept the arrangement, and the Visitors, commanded by their leader John and his deputy Diana, begin to gain considerable influence with human authorities.
However, strange events begin to occur. Scientists become objects of increasing media hostility, and experience government restrictions on their activities and movements. Others, particularly those keen on examining the Visitors more closely, begin to disappear or are discredited. Noted scientists confess to subversive activities; some of which exhibit other unusual behaviors, such as suddenly demonstrating an opposite hand preference to the one they were known to have.
Television journalist cameraman Michael Donovan covertly boards one of the Visitors' motherships and discovers that beneath their human-like facade, the aliens are actually carnivorous reptiles preferring to eat live food such as rodents and birds. Donovan records some of his findings on videotape and escapes from the mothership with the evidence, but just as the exposé is about to air on television, the broadcast is interrupted by the Visitors who have taken control of the media. Their announcement makes Donovan a fugitive, pursued by both the police and the Visitors.....
