The Microfactory concept itself is pretty cool, but what's cooler was the design process.
No, it's not something super complex, or even nintol, but it does illustrate quite nicely how such things "appear from nowhere"... after months or years of development and research and becoming well acquainted with failure.

There's nothing that says that you couldn't follow the same general process to develop your own good idea. That is, of course, until it turns out to be something really cool and UFO bloggers begin their quests to prove you a government agent.
