sort the title out......otherwise,very proff, .......you have to remember that you will lose a whole section of interest for those people not familiar with Terry Mckenna, Timewave zero has been touched on before here, as you will remember........become that something unique in the world of debunkery by familiarising your audience with a balanced bio of the subject(MCkenna), IMHO Mckenna's positive contributions to the betterment of all are by far his more significant work (you know how it go's....fuck just 1 goat, and.....)...... it is almost impossible to judge and digest this kind of thing unless you trod the same path as the person suggesting it , this cat was in the zone

personally Ive not the technical smarts to figure it all out, so I leave it alone.........I concentrate on what is easily understandable, he touched thousands of people through his lectures, and vids, the guy had a real concern for his fellow man and the sheer glory of life/nature...."we were not put on this earth to toil in the mud".........and he knew we were being robbed

very proff audio, natural,.....I guess that is achievable this day and age with the available tech, compress or stretch until you find that perfect frequency, snake meets mongoose  :)

pulling ya leg there mate, I know its natural, what is known as......... "a great face for radio"

sum up.......7/10

* Slow it down a bit (voice)
* Use fewer 'flash' pics to bring about your point (don't want to have a freakin epileptic attack)
* Re-title the title to include the name 'I-Ching' somewhere; as this is what your movie's about?

i.e. "I-Ching" - "Timewave Zero Is Rubbish"

OR....

Timewave Zero Is Rubbish - "I - Ching"

You always told me to be the good reporter? Welllllllllllll...where's your sources?

Other than that?

VERY GOOD ATTEMPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really lost at first. I honestly had no fucking clue what that was about.

You wrapped it up nicely though, with just enough information to make your point and a path to further learning.

The bass on the background music needs to be turned down as well as the vocal treble turned up a bit.

Well done Cog. Well done.

Great feedback... exactly what I was looking for.

I didn't want to go too far in depth into McKenna and whatnot... the intended audience for the video is really someone who is already acquainted with McKenna/Timewave Zero, as opposed to a long exposition.

Music/video/thought synchronization is trickier than I thought so I tried to keep it under 4 minutes. Just a test run, really.

Ducky... good call on the sources. All further videos will contain a bibliography.

Well I hope timewave zero is rubbish. The way McKenna puts it, at some date in 2012, time is going to basically "collapse" and eddy into smaller and smaller spiraling fractals until at some point, we'll reach a singularity, and yippe guess what? Everything repeats again, just I dunno I guess magically everyone alive will forget history and forget what sucks and what doesn't and it'll be just some regurgitated version of the same thing. And we'll all be amazed by candle light shadow puppet shows again or something. All that anarchy and confusion... and all we get is a re-run?

That's the problem I have with hardcore hallucinogenic drugs. You confuse the beginning with the end and you forget the middle.... the meat of the experience.

Now, true, every human experience is an archetypal scenario in some expanded form or another.... but it is not a repeat, just as Lexion and Cogburn may be an archetypal form i.e. Adam Kadmon or whatever you c razy Kabbahbabba students call it, but they are vastly different expressions of that archetypal form.

No two scenarios are alike, even though they are based upon an archetype. Each new variant opens up an infinite field of probabilities upon that variant, and same goes for each variant thereof. All numbers are just variant multiplicities of one number, and yet they are all vastly different. Perhaps it would do better to look at something like musical scale and see that each higher octave has a distinct tonal qualitative difference than the octave below it, even though it is based off the same note. When you follow a scale of notes, there are also varying ways you can achieve the ascenscion to that next octave.... various paths, various tonal variations, so on and so forth... even something as simple as a guitar, which only has I believe I counted once 48 notes... 4 octaves worth of notes.... there are unlimited possibilities because of the variations in the paths from one note to the next, and the tones of different strings, different bodies and necks, different effects, different attack styles and pressures.... what Twerrence McKenna is suggesting is that we can all sit back and relax and the universe is just going to HAND us a higher way of being... Nope. I'm sorry, but that won't happen. There will always be ignorant sheep. It's just the way it must be. You remember what I used to be like. I used to believe that we were all on our way to becoming Gods... but lately, I've realized that most are just on their way to achieving a "higher" level of dogma and mental oppression.

Toss 2012 out the window, except for possibly some sort of staged event. It makes me a bit itchy to know that 2012 has gone so far as to have been given a whole half hour special on Sean Hannity's Fucks News show.

Oh and Cogburn, you sound very professional. I know wthat was mainly just a test run. Elaborate and slow down the progression of voice overs and images/videos... and you'll have a pretty bitchin documentary that could fuck the shit out of zeitgeist's strupid whore asshole.

It would make the audio recording sound less "raw"... not that it sounds bad, but it would sound professional with those two dohickies...

I really like how the segment titles anticipate my questions. Very intuitive.
This is a great video. I did learn something about TimeWave Zero.
The only thing I would change is the Special Olympics photos.

special olympics. sometimes I wonder who that event is REALLY for.

Not saying that everyone just wants to go see handicapped people compete for entertainment... but maybe they do ... maybe deep down inside it makes them feel some sick amusement at their pity and their self righteous endeavors to subconsciously exploit the underprivelidged of society.

At least the ones that laugh and judge harshly are being honest! Everyone else can just pat themselves on the back and go on with their lives, oblivious to true empathy and compassion.

Nice. Very Well Made.

I have always pronounced it 'ee ching' but whatever... on the embedded version 'amkon dot net' got cut a little close... it came out "amkon dot ne"... could use a beat after 'net' to help that sink in with the audience...

some people will be turned off by the 'glossing over' of the I Ching data... (ie. 'base 64 numerical system' - it's a binary numerical system. the emphasis on the six line hexagram as opposed to the three line trigram, coin toss as opposed to yarrow stalks, etc.) It's trivial, I know, but you know how it is... there's that class of numbnuts that will go "he got that 'wrong', ergo Everything else he says is 'wrong' too"... not that you care about that audience, but those kinds of things tend to be the thorns that numbnuts use to detract / derail from the gist of your topic.

In general, the vid turned me OFF, though, and it had to do with your handling of the sub topic of Oracles and not the actual topic of McKenna and Timewave Zero. The focus is that McKenna made an unfounded, arbitrary decision to end the function at 2012 with zero evidence to support that decision, ergo his conclusion are in question... Okay, no problems with that, sounds right to me...

The focus is fine..

The FEELING though, the Emotion the vid stirred in me, is that Oracles are whack.

I have a personal problem with that, others will too... that will be a deal breaker for some, maybe even a sizable market share, of the people.

I Know it's not 'rational'... welcome to the wonderful world of movie making, where logic and reason take the back seat and Emotions rule the way.

Tell a logical, unemotional truth, and no one will here you...

Tell an illogical, impassioned Fantasy, and it sticks in the collective consciousness forever.

*shrugs*
my two cents, worthless after taxes.

Welcome favole!

Part of the tone and structure of the video was to encourage discussion. I mean... I think hermetic magick is real so how much bashing could I do on predictive systems? I didn't attack the I-Ching, only McKenna's use of it.

There's something to be said for base 64 numerical systems in relation to the structure of the universe. The corollary between chemistry and physics is quite real and undeniable. One might even begin to suggest that God has 64 fingers, it appears so often.

If you look closer, while I make light of his process, I don't actually disagree with the mathematics that McKenna developed. The one thing that makes all Timewave applications complete nonsense is the application of the end date.

I think that it would be an incredibly awesome joke. Imagine: God encoded the entire future history of the universe into its makeup and then didn't provide a way for it to be understandable within context.

The ultimate dry wit.

careful with that 'common sense' stuff... it can be misleading... Linky Dink (http://www.amkon.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=7186&p=107435#p107435)

Cog:

I didn't attack the I-Ching, only McKenna's use of it.

I got that, and I know a bit about you so I got it even More... but that's "high brain" stuff, the actual focus and content of the film... my critique was more "low brain", the Emotional response that was generated in me by the construction of the composition... The few buzz words that seeped through, coupled with the imagery, soundtrack, and timber of voice... on a "high brain" logical level, you were slamming McKenna, but on a "low brain" emotional level you were slamming ME (I Know you weren't, but we're talking Emotions here, nothing rational about it)

Part of the tone and structure of the video was to encourage discussion.

if this were the Primary Purpose of the vid, then A+, there's sufficient material there to emotionally galvanize folks to chat about some aspect of the film...

As a straight documentary it's lacking in detachment... but it was never really meant to be a doc, rather an Op Ed to spark chat.... ergo A+ all around.

Love your work, can't wait to see more.
keep 'em flying.

It's still a new medium for me, so expressing myself accurately is the constant challenge.

It is all a part of my continuing campaign to drive traffic away from AmKon.

...expressing myself accurately is the constant challenge.

and a constant Joy, too, yes? I love this medium... film... and the written word... both seem so unbounded and unchained...

try not to get too bogged down in the 'accurate self expression' thing though, ain't ever gonna happen, thus, the joy in perpetually creating / recreating...
