Well, either way, I *tried* to post Strawberry fields. One of my favourites, also love A Day in the Life and Across the Universe. Interesting how all posted so far have been Lennon songs.

[edit] you had the whole url in between the (youtube) fields. you only need this part of the url between the fields "-7NoOhmVMac".

if you click on edit for your post you'll see that i deleted all of the url except that part.

hope that helps.

"Living is easy with eyes closed" - Strawberry Fields. One of the many many lyrics that made Lennon a legend.

I've always liked John. Don't care what anyone else says. I grew up in a different scenerio.

I don't have any qualms against anyone. Mabey that's why I'm such a Fire Horse. Probably why I'm such a wierd person.

Mabey that's why I'm so wierd...dunno...don't care.

You mean you think he's considered unpopular (compared to Paul, George and Ringo) or am I just misinterpreting?

Well, look, seeing as Megadeath have made an appearance I suppose we've gotta even out the metal with some crazy funky shit from Brown anyway.

I think I liked John for his 'outspokenness' (is that a real word?)

The guy (if he was still alive today) would be at least 20 + years my senior. He was born in the 40's, and Myself in the 60's. I'm sure he and I would clash til the cows came home. Then again...who knows.

As Mojo said, he fuckin sucked to high heaven when he hooked up with Yoko. imho, she couldn't sing if her life depended on it. She croaked like a crow. There's no gettin past that one.

He still had some juice in him in the early 80's.

m]okd3hLlvvLwm]

Often wondered how he would make out on his own.

I guess we all succumb to fame?

Everyone says Yoko had a negative effect on him, but musically speaking she was classically trained and so provided musical possibilities he couldn't have considered before ('Because' on Abbey Road was inspired by Lennon getting Yoko to play the chords of a Mozart [I think] song backwards). She was also able to articulate for him ideas he had that before he couldn't have expressed if it weren't first for George Martin and second for her. She also introduced him to a lot of avant garde art which I think really positively influenced latter day Beatles and his solo career. So I think the negative press regarding Yoko Ono is a tad unfair perhaps, imo.

But yeah...she did croak like a crow and there's no escaping that.

thats not original headbanging ducky, for that you need to go back to Blue Cheer or Iron Butterfly or Sabbath, depending on your pov. Metallica were never the original headbangers, lol. particularly enter sandman which was the entrance into the mainstream pop metal to make money. after i first heard "enter sandman" i wished they had "jumped in the fire".
