Al-Qaeda threatens France, where will all this SHITE end up?

PARIS, France (CNN) -- Al Qaeda threatened to "take revenge" on France "by every means and wherever we can reach them" because of a debate in France over whether the burqa, a traditional Islamic woman's covering, violates French law, according to a statement posted on radical Islamist Web sites.

A woman wears traditionnal Muslim dress in Venissieux, near Lyon, France.

"We will not tolerate such provocations and injustices, and we will take our revenge from France," said the statement, signed by Abu Musab Abdul Wadud, calling himself "commander of al Qaeda in North Africa [Islamic Maghreb]."

The statement is dated June 28, five days after French President Nicolas Sarkozy controversially told lawmakers that the traditional Muslim garment was "not welcome" in France.

A day later, the French National Assembly announced the creation of an inquiry into whether women in France should be allowed to wear the garment.

A cross-party panel of 32 lawmakers will investigate whether the burqa poses a threat to the secular nature of the French constitution. They are due to report back with their recommendations in six months.

The al Qaeda statement accused France of "organizing its ranks to fight a new blatant war against our sisters wearing the burqa."

It never will... The religion of peace? Pfft... I'm surprised on the heels of Obama's Cairo speech the Muslims aren't just running around hugging and kissing everyone. I know, once he sits down with them everything will be okay, after all they're only pissed because the US keeps invading places like Iraq and Afganistaninacan.

I'm curious, how do you suppose imigrants to Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, etc... would be treated if they decided to completely ignore Sharia Law and start flaunting Western customs openly in the streets of those countries?

Let me guess it was the EVIL CIA that told France not to ban burqas or something? What's your bullshit autistic tinhead excuse?

If al-qaeda is a term used to describe a loosely organized network of terrorists with no central leadership, then yes it exists. But in this context where they say "al-qaeda has released a statement" blah blah blah, they seem to be implying that there is central organization with spokesperson and shit. I don't buy that. It's just MiniTrue talking about The Brotherhood.

I haven't read into the issue enough to make a judgement. Where are they banning wearing that? In public or what? What was the trigger event? Some asshole exploited it to rob people or something?

Autistic Tinhead? Cute that you should bring things like that up, Kacen. Ever hear "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones"?

How is the Crusade going btw? Are you and your little Nazi anal-buddies driving back the EVIL Muslim Hordes yet? Have you spread any democracy lately?

Sounds like a simple issue of semantics if you ask me. I doubt it matters to people whether they're so organized or not, they still kill people.

Because I'm the one who said Al Qaeda doesn't exist and I also said Bush planted bombs in the towers and he's a reptilian and...oh wait.

Is the 'face that you keep in a jar by the door' any less of a burka than a couple of yards of cotton? Isn't that the critical issue? The Eleanor Rigby principle? Live and let live for crissakes. If you don't like burkas- then don't wear one- and shut the fuck up about it already.

It's utterly adorable how you people call me a "Nazi"...

Hitler actually wished Germany was Islamic because he believed Christianity was "too weak and watered down". He admired Islam's warlike tendencies.

Excerpt from Albert Speer's memoirs:

“Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France into Central Europe during the eighth century, his visitors had told him, they had been driven back at the Battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The Germanic peoples would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament. Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate and conditions of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.

“Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking, ‘You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness….”5 (A. Speer, Inside the Third Reich, pp. 142-143)

Indeed, the end result is still people being killed. However I wouldn't brush it off as a simple semantics issue. Unfortunately, I also believe that it's an inevitable result of human psychology (see outgroup homogeneity bias for more info), regardless of whether or not some "behind-the-scenes" power is steering public opinion towards that conclusion.. rendering the point moot.

This burka crap isn't going away anytime soon.

I hope France puts up a good fight. I don't trust Muslims. AHEM...I'll rephase that. I don't trust the extremists or anyone of any religion that goes out of their way to start up shit with folks who don't see eye to eye with them.

The Muslims tried to get a bill to pass to get the sharia laws integrated with Canadian laws some time ago, and some of parliament told them to get lost. Aint gonna happen. Thank goodness.

They can't be bothered to listen to what others have to say. Their ears need an enema. Their way or the highway. Can't stand people like that.

OHhhhhhhh...and if we visit THEIR country, we have to dress like they do. UP YER ARSE!!!!

Now they don't like being called out, when it's someone else's turf. Too fuckin bad.

I think it's safe to say I don't trust Arab Muslims, but that's mostly due to the dangerous mix of Islam and Arab culture.

Indonesian/Malaysian and Balkan Muslims, in my experience, are tolerable.

None of that is written in stone however. The Balkan Muslims did terrible things to Serbia...but I won't lead this off topic.
