Posted by zetabeam2, on June 26, 2009 at 03:41 GMT
Earlier today, my membership priviledges were summarily suspended by the ATS moderators with no warning or explanation given whatsoever.
Now why would such an action have been taken by them ?
Apparently it was a direct and immediate response to a thread that I had posted only minutes earlier in which I exercised what I believed to be my right to freedom of speech and expression ... but apparently these rights only exist if the administrators wish for them to exist ... if they don't, well the hammer falls rapidly indeed.
So, you ask, what did I post that was so abhorent to the administrators that they felt the need to immediate remove my thread and lower the boom on me ?
Basically, I had noticed that a large proportion of the threads being posted on ATS really had very little of intrinsic value in them and were absolutely lacking in even the minutest degree of proof or evidence or source material to give them even a basic smattering of believability or credibility. In fact, many thread topics are so ridiculous, assinine and lacking in logic or even common sense that it led me to state that it was a pity that ATS lacked some form of filter to remove threads that made incredulous and mind boggling claims and yet provided not a shred of substantiating evidence or proof to back their claims up with.
I'm not going to bother mentioning any threads in particular as I'm sure those ATS members with an average amount of intelligence and common sense can easily spot those threads for themselves and know exactly what I'm referring to ... threads that cater to the gullible and easily convinced members.
Anyway, I believed we're all entitled to an opinion on this board even if others disagree with it ... after all, isn't that what constitutes the core of freedom of speech and expression in the free world ?
To get this thread created and to point out this unfair and unwarranted action taken against me, I created a new account. It will be interesting to see if this new comment of mine in which I've spoken out against the ATS moderators and their heavy handed action will result in immediate disciplinary action being taken against me once again.
In closing, I hereby challenge the moderators to publicly explain to me and the ATS community in general the reason for their earlier action against me and my posted opinion.
(My suspended membership name is "zetabeam"[/offsite:28nvo1iq]
Dude gets post banned for pointing out how abovetopsecret embraces stupid crap in order to have post count.
zetabeam, get your self over to Amkon.
Thanks alien for chasing off another member. Hopefully he'll find this forum.
