I've been tempted lately. my beloved 4chan is getting discarded because the sysop wants to merge with facebook and promote a SFW project called canv.as ...and a part of me is like, "just learn to accept change dude," and the other part of me is like, "fuck this conformist bs" ...I don't know, I've hid behind anonymity for years now and its becoming increasingly more difficult to find good anon sites anywhere these days

Malaprop, I don't see anything conformist about it. My grandma, dad, uncles, cousins on the west coast are able to keep up with me in a fun way that doesn't involve long awkward silences on the phone. They can see pictures of my kids and even learn my personality better than they can over the phone. I used to play Farmville with my uncle, and it was finally something we shared in common.

I also reconnected with friends from high school. People who I knew were gay turned out to be gay! And, I'm not the only one that got fat! I get to see friends' wedding pictures and see them have babies. It's wonderful since I can't afford to fly back to go to my 10 year reunion this year.

You should get one. :D

You can always start off with a fake name and just go find the friends you want at first. Just make sure it's a real sounding name like Joe Malaprop. Then if you get the courage, you can put your real name and add your high school later.
