[offsite:2ey5q156]The planned October 9, 2009 bombing of the moon by a NASA orbiter that will bomb the moon with a 2-ton kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile wide deep crater as an alleged water-seeking and lunar colonization experiment, is contrary to space law prohibiting environmental modification of celestial bodies. The NASA moon bombing, a component of the LCROSS mission, may also trigger conflict with known extraterrestrial civilizations on the moon as reported on the moon in witnessed statements by U.S. astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and in witnessed statements to NSA (National Security Agency) photos and documents regarding an extraterrestrial base on the dark side of the moon.[/offsite:2ey5q156]

The LCROSS bombing constitutes a disruption of the delicate balance of the lunar ecology. Article 7 of the Moon Treaty states:[/offsite:2ey5q156]

AGREEMENT GOVERNING THE ACTIVITIES OF STATES ON THE MOON AND OTHER CELESTIAL BODIES (http://www.islandone.org/Treaties/BH766.html)
(1979)

Article 7
[offsite:2ey5q156]“1. In exploring and using the moon, States Parties shall take measures to
prevent the disruption of the existing balance of its environment whether
by introducing adverse changes in that environment, by its harmful
contamination through the introduction of extra-environmental matter or
otherwise. States Parties shall also take measures to avoid harmfully
affecting the environment of the earth through the introduction of
extraterrestrial matter or otherwise.

“2. States Parties shall inform the Secretary-General of the United
Nations of the measures being adopted by them in accordance with
paragraph 1 of this article and shall also, to the maximum extent
feasible, notify him in advance of all placements by them of radio-active
materials on the moon and of the purposes of such placements.

“3. States Parties shall report to other States Parties and to the
Secretary-General concerning areas of the moon having special scientific
interest in order that, without prejudice to the rights of other States
Parties, consideration may be given to the designation of such areas as
international scientific preserves for which special protective
arrangements are to be agreed upon in consultation with the competent
bodies of the United Nations.”[/offsite:2ey5q156]

Article 3
[offsite:2ey5q156]1. The moon shall be used by all States Parties exclusively for peaceful
purposes.

2. Any threat or use of force or any other hostile act or threat of
hostile act on the moon is prohibited. It is likewise prohibited to use
the moon in order to commit any such act or to engage in any such threat
in relation to the earth, the moon, spacecraft, the personnel of
spacecraft or man-made space objects.

3. States Parties shall not place in orbit around or other trajectory to
or around the moon objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of
weapons of mass destruction or place or use such weapons on or in the
moon.

4. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications,
the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres
on the moon shall be forbidden. The use of military personnel for
scientific research or for any other peaceful purposes shall not be
prohibited. The use of any equipment or facility necessary for peaceful
exploration and use of the moon shall also not be prohibited.[/offsite:2ey5q156]

[offsite:2ey5q156]Is NASA’s LCROSS bombing of the moon a camouflaged attack or attempt to impose moon sovereignty by the U.S.?

There is witnessed evidence, through the testimony of UASF SGT Karl Wolfe and through the statements of U.S. astronauts, NASA employees, former Soviet scientists that the U.S., and its agencies NASA and the NSA has had scientific evidence that the moon has extraterrestrial civilizations and present settlements on it for more than 40 years, since the 1960s.

The U.S. has not attempted any public, peaceful diplomacy with the civilizations on the moon. In fact, the U.S. has imposed an embargo on public knowledge that settlements and an extraterrestrial presence exist on the moon.

What is touted as a scientific experiment – the bombing of the moon – may in reality be an attempt to impose de facto U.S. sovereignty on the moon. Article II of the U.N. Outer Space Treaty, which the U.S. has signed, states: “Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.”

Moreover, the LCROSS bombing of the moon may be an intentional hostile act by the U.S. (which has know the moon is inhabited for at least 40 years by other civilizations), a kind of “shot across the bow” to mark turf against other intelligent civilizations on the moon.

The U.N. Outer Space Treaty prohibits non-peaceful activities on the moon. Article IV states, “The moon and other celestial bodies shall be used by all States Parties to the Treaty exclusively for peaceful purposes. The establishment of military bases, installations and fortifications, the testing of any type of weapons and the conduct of military manoeuvres on celestial bodies shall be forbidden.”

NASA’s LCROSS bombing of the moon must be stopped, while the lunar orbiter is in orbit, before the bombing occurs on October 9, 2009.[/offsite:2ey5q156]

Ha.

Smacking a hunk of metal into a comet didn't seem to get PETETA up in a fuss... I think this one will go OK.

you would be right to wonder WZ0,.......must be a reason, be interesting to see the planet -sun- moon positions for October 9,.... then again, is it really going to happen?.......maybe another red herring ?.......when your in the position of calling the shots, you can string the punters along indefinately, stop for a sec and take a look at whats been coming out of NASA over the last year or so :thegeneral: ............the Asian space program ? the good old U.S of A handing over all their jealously guarded technology?....for the general good of mankind?....excuse me a minute while I vomit :projectile: ......thats better

Their position as the worlds leading space nation has ALWAYS been touted and used as a general "call-to-arms" for all the flag-sucking sheep, crank up the side-show

next they rolled out the new Moon rover.....ooh , wernt the pictures lovely?.......did you notice the cheer go up from the crowd?..."this will show those nasty old conspiracy theorists !"

next minute the fuckers are broke!.......a flurry of conflicting statements then flew across the room  we are, we arnt,...

the world economic situation seems to have a unusal effect on NASA's accountants :pound:

If I was the suspicous type , I would see the real reason to be involved in the Asian region as a military/strategic affair, they now have an op to chuck a few bang-bangs at the North Koreans from the comfort of some-one elses back-yard :?

In saying that, how many subs are hiding away god-knows-where , just lurking around:?....there is no denying they have the fire-power to do anything they want at any time .....still, keeps life interesting a :)

I'm not a scientist, but it strikes me that blowing a fuckoff chunk out of the moon isn't necessarily the most sensible way of looking for water... Perhaps the quickest, I guess.

Besides which, I think there's already confirmation of water, or, more specifically ice on the moon.

BBC News Report from July 2008 - "Moon's Interior 'Did Hold Water'"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7497715.stm

I wonder if perhaps there isn't another reason for blowing a hole in the moon. Seems a bit drastic just to see if there's ice below the surface, I wouldn't imagine it'd be something that'd be hard to do with drills and unmanned landing vehicles, it's probably a process that's been done to varying extends hundreds of times.

Here comes the fun part... once we find the exact target of the LCROSS we can go back through years and years of photos and see that they were bombing nothing, while Lear, Signh, Zorgon, et al, try to explain what they were bombing and "who they killed".

Some one is over harvesting cheese and the powers of cheese here want it stopped. And NASA knows that "as the cheese goes, so does the pork".

Its shocking really they/we, just about used and abused our own planet so, let start fucking with the moon, see what happens . . . way to go, lets hope nothing is there, . . . .I hope this is meant to be a world type decision , as they've seem to of taken that away, with make the law, brake the law, willy nilly as one pleases . . . :thegeneral:

Seems like it isn't much different from all the space rocks that have smashed into it.

We are all going to be shocked if it hits a seam and the moon deflates like a balloon punched by a pin.
