But seriously, thats just fucked up. Ninety days is a fucking joke of a sentence for what is, albeit indirect, essentially death by poisoning. Murder. Might not be premeditated, but she caused the death of her child.

And, instead of a criminal matter, if addiction was properly treated as a health issue, she may have had the support to stay clean lo these many years and that baby would still be cooing instead of pushing up daisies...
Legalize and regulate all substances!
But that baby's death is still on her hands and she deserves credit for accepting that fact.
Weird thing is, sixteen weeks before the baby died by her hands, she could have legally paid someone else to kill it for her...
In light of the way things turned out, it might have been better for all involved.
This is truly a fucked up world in which we live...
Sad . . . . for the mother to get supporting letters imo say that she mustn't of been a bad mum, just a drug addict. . . and did she have other children?If she did she'd think they handle it. She'd had a habit for a long time, look how far apart being busted she was . . . alot of users stay under the radar, over time they end up using heaps . . . She'll never forgive herself for this, she will self punish or drug binge . . . . same difference . . . this is part of the reasons I feel they need to address drug addicts differently they are breeding . . . don't they follow up from the hospital they would of know the mother was a drug user the child would of been born a drug addict . . . . fucked up . . . .
So that's kinda fucked.
The judge said Hoffart has strong support from family, friends and other community members and that a former kindergarten teacher wrote a letter to the court on her behalf characterizing the defendant as a good mother who volunteered at school and provided her children with a "supportive academic environment."
where mr Judge is the strong family support ?.......... I bet they are rallying now that its become obvious through this event just who they are!....where is the father of the poor little baby?.......was he just another predator in the chain?.....
