HMMM...quite strange.
I was googling up 'Mike Griffin' (former Administration/nasa) and the last known write up (http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=26756) about him was Jan/08. Was he fired? Did he step down by his own accord? Can anyone else find more recent additional info?
He was particularly PRO luner station. Something drastic must have happened between then and the present.
Now somebody else is holding the reins and there's been a change in the schedule. Very abrupt I might add.
Would all the controversial talk about there being moon bases already up there (shot in the dark?), have anything to do with it, or is it just as simple as changing ones venue without any surrounding hooplahs attached?
With all the recent cutbacks, is it more feasible to maintain what we have already (space station) than stretching any other available monies to push forward a moon base. Budgets bugets bugets...hmmm.
