Computer Speech Recognition

I"m having so much fun with this one it's not fit :D

I finally got my sound fixed. Had to reboot back to the computer's original default. Jeese...nothing else worked for me.

I typed this whole post by using my speech recognition program.
Has anyone else tried this yet?

Although... I already type faster than I can think half the time...

I dunno, I thought I'd give it a shot with writing my book... but who the fuck knows... if its anything like the voice recognition over the phone, I'm doomed to fail.

I've got a head set with hands-free mic attached.

Once you get the computer to recognize your voice (might take a few times) it's actually pretty fun!

I've gotten to the point when my puter boots up, and I can see my desktop icons, I can voice navigate my way to the amkon boards. Still working on the 'log in' part, but I'm getting there.

I tried it with my USB headset... and the mic wasn't working :(

I might put a USB Bluetooth Dongle in and try to use it via my Bluetooth ear piece...

I did that with Warcraft before... I imagine it can still be done in Vista lol

I snagged a half decent headset for under 30 bucks at Wallmart the other day. It has 2 cords (pink and green), as well as a PC game controller for my emulator games. Luvs ma RPG's!

Just laughing to myself. Thought about how hard it will be for the puter to recognize my voice after a couple of brewskis tonite. Should be a riot. :P

I'm on Vista Ultimate x64 and Open SuSE 10 (linux) dual boot...

I know my headset works... I was talking to lex on skype with it last week lol

It just wasn't immediately working with the voice recognition stuff... so I got lazy and gave up already...

Until then, one of my last pieces of equipment that I'm going to purchase in the next week is a vid cam. (no doubt others will crop up). I opted for a PC control gaming pad instead. Working out the finances to include a vid cam by next week.

I'm still 'training' my voice recognition software to recognize different stuffs now.
