Hot.
Jesus, is it hot.
I can take a basket-bath,
and be reeking of sweat
in 30 minutes.

Some R&R is nice, but the
accomodations are lacking.

Oh well, beats the jungle.

I've a week here. Not much.
A hostel, couple bars, the
locals.

I'm sitting on the porch of the
hostel, sipping a beer.
This kitten wanders up. It mews.

I melt. (ok, I'm a big wuss)

I slowly lower my hand, and
snap my fingers.

It walks right to my hand.

I pick it up, and evaluate it.
Pretty healthy. Fast check shows to
be male. Maybe 2 months old.

I look him in the eyes. He gives me
a playful paw, and purrs.

The eyebrows. They make me chuckle.
All spikey. Looks cool.

Spike. You, my friend, are duly dubbed
and Knighted.

He purrs, and curls up in my lap.

Christ. How do I wind up in these things.
I open a small paper bag of plantains,
and offer him one.
He happily chomps it down.

Hmm. I tote him back to my room.
("room" being gracious").
I root through my ruck, and find an old
candy bar. Break off a piece and offer it.

Nose-up.

Heh. Fiesty bastard. "Me too", I think.

Ok. I'll show ya.

I put him in my ruck, close it and proceed
to do a 2 mile walk. (that'll show him !)

Get back to the hacienda, drop my ruck and
open it.
Little f'er is snoozing.

I plop down into a wobbly chair and look at
him.

Spike.

Private Spike; I decor him.

Fine. You want to like me, fine.

Spike, my little buddy.

Regards,
Lex

Do not get it wet.

No bright lights.

And I'll be dammed if I can remember...

Sure there was something else.

Fox

P.S. Nice Lex.

Spike found himself a new home :D

You know he planned it that way eh Lex? hee hee

We don't train them...they train us.

From what you've told us about your cats so far, sounds like Spike's in good hands.

Lots of love to go around.
