whats the fun in finding him?

We need a common enemy...

To put it in Orwellian terms... Osama = Eurasia.

"The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism" at its best.

Assuming you meant Eastasia I'd have to agree that his existence has demonstrated a value to the West. But I still think the dude's alive.

Assuming you meant Eastasia

Nah, Eurasia was the enemy of Oceana in 1984...

War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength...

Of course he's alive, unless he died of natural causes. He and his family are best buddies with shrubbery, remember?

Dialysis patients don't tend to live very long, especially given the circumstances:

CIA agent alleged to have met Bin Laden in July (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2001/nov/01/afghanistan.terrorism)

[offsite:16ny7qw3]Bin Laden has often been reported to be in poor health. Some accounts claim that he is suffering from Hepatitis C, and can expect to live for only two more years.

According to Le Figaro, last year he ordered a mobile dialysis machine to be delivered to his base at Kandahar in Afghanistan.[/offsite:16ny7qw3]

US casts doubt on bin Laden's latest message (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/1366508/US-casts-doubt-on-bin-Ladens-latest-message.html)

[offsite:16ny7qw3]OSAMA BIN LADEN heaped praise on 'the 19 students who shook the American empire' in the September 11 attacks in a chilling video shown in full last night by an Arab television station.

The recording was dismissed by the Bush administration yesterday as sick propaganda possibly designed to mask the fact the al-Qa'eda leader was already dead.

Donald Rumsfeld, US defence secretary, said: "We get six, seven, eight, 10, 12 conflicting reports every day. I've stopped chasing them."

He added, to laughter from reporters at a Pentagon briefing: "We do know of certainty that he is in Afghanistan or some other country or dead."[/offsite:16ny7qw3]
