Curious about something here. Hey Pack? Answer me this bud.

Say for example I wanted to get a sock and use a proxy. Would the proxy look along the same lines as my main IP? Would the numbers be entirely different or would there be some similiarities.

So...for example, if someone wanted to ping me to find out my location, they'd see this info: Southern Ontario/server:cogeco

By reading what I said in the above sentence, you'd know that I was telling the truth.

Now if I took a sock & proxy, would it still reveal that I was in the southern ontario area, or is the info hidden to some degrees?

as long as you hit up an anonymous proxy, your IP will ping to the location of the proxy... Your original or "Real IP" won't ever be known...

Usually, if you have a proxy leech program, you can even pick where you want your IP to go back to :P

I like using proxies in countries that don't like the U.S. to make it even harder for me to be tracked by anyone over here in the states...
