Identity Paranoia

Just thought the subject should be looked at, as everyone has different levels of paranoia on the subject, to me I won't use credit cards thats my pet hate . . . the thought of someone take money I haven't even made doesn't rub will with me . . . and I've had freinds that have had heaps of hassels with there identity of there credit card . . . so what is everyones thoughs . . .

The problem with InfoCards as opposed to OpenID is that OpenID is an open forum where InfoCards are guaranteed by a commercial authority, such as Microsoft Cardspace.

For it's failings, OpenID still has the open regulation of a public consortium as the controlling organization and that is worth some of the shortcomings.

I must admit Cog I know nothing about the site or trying to hide ID, I don't really worry about stuff like that . . . I don't own a credit card if I need the use of one I use a friends that lives up the road . . .but would never use it on line . . . we were doing internet banking for a while but we had someone try and break into it . . . some crap happened not really sure Kiwi know . . . but anyway we haven't use it since, as it been deactivated . . . so I just spend blindly now ha ha ha :D

I don't have credit cards, I do have one checking account with a debit card, but I rarely use it. Cash only. I get prepay debit cards for online transactions like ebay and other things.

I don't give out my real email. Ever. So my real email is pretty much empty.

I also don't join those Myspace of Facebook things.

In fact, I have zero photos of me online.
