With this latest underground atom bomb test- one that yielded the destructive power of the bombs dropped on Japan by the US in 1945- North Korea officially announced its final rejection of the 'peace' plan offered to them by America. It's over. North Korea will no-longer consider giving up on its nuclear weapons program any more than would America, Russia, Britain, France, India, Pakistan, or Israel. They're in the club to stay now- and soon to be joined by Iran. The Glorious Leader has concluded that the road to equality lies in, well... equality. Period. MAD is back with a vengeance. Asia Times Online has devoted lots of electronical ink to the story- and has done a far better job of it than any other source that I'm aware of. That website should be on the favorites list of anyone truly interested in incisive commentary on this and many other world issues. Instead, I think they're doing the o'l Samson complex... Keeping everyone else at bay because maybe they just are crazy enough to bring down "the temple" with themselves inside...
