View Full Version : North Korea joins the club

With this latest underground atom bomb test- one that yielded the destructive power of the bombs dropped on Japan by the US in 1945- North Korea officially announced its final rejection of the 'peace' plan offered to them by America. It's over. North Korea will no-longer consider giving up on its nuclear weapons program any more than would America, Russia, Britain, France, India, Pakistan, or Israel. They're in the club to stay now- and soon to be joined by Iran. The Glorious Leader has concluded that the road to equality lies in, well... equality. Period. MAD is back with a vengeance. Asia Times Online has devoted lots of electronical ink to the story- and has done a far better job of it than any other source that I'm aware of. That website should be on the favorites list of anyone truly interested in incisive commentary on this and many other world issues. Here's their take: http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Korea/KE26Dg02.html

I don't think North Korea is building nukes to use offensively...
Instead, I think they're doing the o'l Samson complex... Keeping everyone else at bay because maybe they just are crazy enough to bring down "the temple" with themselves inside...
Its working so far for Israel...

I just think its sad that the United States demands that no one else gets nukes... but we refuse to get rid of ours...
if the U.S. wants to grab everyone's attention... announce we're reducing our arsenal to about 10 nukes... after everyone else does the same, we'll talk about getting rid of the last 10 or so...
we don't need a shitload... we only need a few... and the world would listen if we led by example... for once...

When everyone has nukes - they're sooo 20th century - the countries with directed energy weapons will be setting policy.

Thousands of years of human history and we're still no better off than we were... fuckin' sad...
ooh look... I got a stick...
Oh yah, I got a rock!
I got a spear! etc etc until we get to where we are today...
We gain all this fuckin' technology, but don't gain idea that perhaps we should get the fuck over this tribal mentality bullshit...
All this bullshit, so we can compete for the "alpha" position...
Nuclear payload - the hoop d of offensive weapons.
I can hear General Big Head now, "Nuke us and we will fry everything of value in your country in 3 minutes or less".

Dr. Seuss was a children's author, but I believe he had a distinct message here...

Here's the text for those who haven't read it: http://www.angelfire.com/tn2/minsrecipes/ChildrensCookBookNook/ButterBattle.htm
I love this book, and I read it to my kids... I look at it as a "warning"

I have the femur ball removed
from my first hip replacement.
Poor lab tech's thought I was
joking.
It's in a Mason jar, bottom of
my toolbox.
I put it into a cricket cage, and
set it on an ant pile to clean it.

Shit man- you shoulda said something. I coulda gotten you a slightly used eustacian tube for $29.99 fresh from the Chinese death van. They sew them on your left temple and then there's no need for getting your tooth pulled. I got one for my buddy Rush Limbaugh and it looks really good on him.
