I can't recall if I've seen this fellow around or not. Interesting person nonetheless.

The interview lasts around 1:45 mins; a trifle long I know (such are the ways...oh well), but I watched it last night in its entirety, and was quite amazed with the knowledge that this guy had, in relation to every conspiratal subject going.

Bob Dean is a down-to-earth, and good-humored gent pushing 80 yrs. He has afiliations with many old school military men, as he is a retired service man that has 'seen it', 'done it' and lived to tell.

Was wondering if you were able to check out the vid or even the transcripts I provided, and what is your opinion of the guy as well as his responses to the questions that were asked?

A few things that stuck out in my mind. One was his knowledge regarding the mysterious HUGE object high on top of Mt. Ararat, and the anomalous artifacts that were retrieved from inside. I get a kick out the comments that he said others used: "JESUS that's a huge boat." AND "It's a Goddamn boat!"

Mr. Dean has had contact with John Lear, and said (paraphrasing) that "John is probably the one that gets the info first hand more than I do.

The problem with those trying to make a buck is that they never revise their research because it could impact sales of previous material.

UFOlogy (and consequently the 9/11 truth movement) is simply littered with nonsense spouted by "respected" investigators 20 years ago that has never been retracted in even the face of glaring evidence to the contrary.

Let's go back to the "soul catcher" for a moment. John's been all over spouting that crap ever since some psychic told him exactly what he wanted to hear. One round of honest, reproducible photo analysis blew all that to hell. That's not one reputation threatened... it's two. Double reason to dismiss the findings and plow onward.

What was the real reason Lear stopped coming around here? Was it really because Chorlton was being a bitch or was it because we here at AmKon finally managed to destroy some of his prolific bullshit?

The rest of John's timeline is pretty much public knowledge. Through John's postings here and on other sites, you can piece together the bits that are left out from the "paper" version of events. The rest just seems to be bravado and embellishment.

Not that there's anything wrong with that... lesser men have not done as well.

He's just a narcissist who simply enjoys the fact that his name will be remembered for whatever reason, except that of being proven a charlatan.

Can't much fault him for that, either. May we all be so lucky.
