I wanted to do a picture of a sexy girl, since those tend to be popular. ;) But uhh yeah.. it originally was meant to look a little different but I decided to make her pose and expression more real, and stronger. My style is mostly sci-fi / space / dream-like type of stuff so I decided to go with the theme.
Acrylic paints.. maybe 12 hours of work..? I take my time.
I used photoshop to simulate a minor lens flare from reflected light off that old space ship wreckage.
Thats enough details, just observe!
ITS BIG! I'd make it smaller, but the woman here really is the focus, so sorry if this takes too much time.

Nice job man, another great piece of art. You really need to start a gallery or something. You could support yourself this way man.

Thanks man, what do you mean by gallery? I have a deviant art page, but who doesn't. I don't exactly know how you really cross that line where you become an artist and make decent income, or contacts with people who will pay you shit loads for a piece. Thats one thing i'll never get either.. that transition between like 50 bucks and 500 bucks... shit some people get paid in the thousands.
I do want to be an artist, it will give me the freedom I want, no NEED.. and then i'll be free to distribute my efforts to everything else.
Expect more art soon though, i'm TRYING to do 1 art piece every week for the next 2 months... so i'll have like at least 8 more art pieces for the fan expo, where I plan to sell some prints and my name, we'll see how that goes.

I'm not really sure what my style is, but I prefer to make art that looks either as realistic as I can make it, or like some dream or illusion... but mostly stuff that looks like a real scene. I prefer sci-fi type of stuff, and nature, so I try to blend the two. I like to do stuff like heavy metal type of rediculous action/violence. I like raw power and realness. I love fantasy art, but thats something i used to do when I was a kid, I don't really find myself interested in any of that anymore. If I learned how to do digital art one day, i wouldn't mind making a couple pictures for magic cards or something cool like that. A freind of mine asked me to do a tarot deck for her, I thought that would be a wicked project... cards like "death",.. "the fool" etc.. lol... but theres like 80 of them...seems like more of a long-term goal.
I'm still trying to really define my style I guess, yet trying not to be limited to it..but i want people to like my art for that certain aspect.
