Dude, that's fucking hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing.
Well, apparently I've been banned permanently from ATS. My 72 hours was up so I contacted the mods there to remind them of that where soon after that I was "unbanned".
But then later last night, when I logged onto ATS again, the home page came up but everytime I clicked onto one of the threads I would get an error page coming up instead!
It's still like that -- can't view any of the threads in that forum.
Yet, I'm reading posts in this forum and even though some members here are banned from ATS, it sounds like you can still log onto that forum to read the threads posted on it.
Just saying that it never occurred to me that banned members cannot at least read those threads posted on that board. So I must be a unique case and I must tell you, it's a wonderful feeling so special! :lol:

Nah, it happens to all of us at first.
You need to do something like CCleaner on your stored info and then you ought to be able to lurk. It's a cookie on your machine for the most part.
But if you try to create an account on the same IP, somehow, even though they claim they don't log IP addys, you won't be able to do it.
You must have a dynamic IP, try CCleaner, then unplug your modem for a couple minutes, then you ought to be able to lurk over there.
Those of us who've gone that route, however, have found over time that logging in over there is rather boring, considering the same old posts and xian fundymentalist crap over and over and over and over and over ...

I believe that they do a periodic cleansing on that board. I've been there long enough to see that they do that every once in a while to get rid of those they don't like and I think this is what's going on now. They don't like it when someone tells off one one of their paid provocateurs like I did by saying that the only time we ever see that member in that forum is when there's a dead dog to kick who's already down. This gives clue to them that I know too much about how that board operates and who some of those people are, so this is why I was banned from it.

You can also use an anonymous proxy.
Just google anonymouse, thats a good one but there are plenty of others.
Also like GN said theres not a hell of a lot of good info on there anymore, i barely check out anything there anymore.
It has turned into a tabloid news site, sad to say.
