John McCain backs Asian Union Plan
JOHN MCCAIN: I believe that the more and closer that the countries in the region work together, free and open trade and more agreements with the United States of America, I am greatly in support of.

Well, I don't know if you guys are too familiar with William Cooper, but when McCain says things like this, I get worried. In Cooper's book, "Behold A Pale Horse", he talks about our world being divided into a ten headed monster. Which means all of these "unions" that are popping up.....EU, African Union, NAU, etc. This, in his opinion, is what will bring about the completion of a New World Order. It just seems that we are headed in this direction more and more....and I for one do nto like it at all.

Is that where you get your name from?
I was never one to believe biblical prophecy, but the idea of an antichrist and one world government seems to be coming true. I was under the impression Hilliary was the whore of babylon, but that's another story altogether :D.
I absolutely hate unions. The idea of a united world is fine, but when you put ONE centralized government ahead of everyone...Well that's pure insanity.
We have enough problems with the US federal government, I can't imagine what problems would plague a one world government.
On a similar note, did you hear Ireland rejected the Lisbon treaty and Oklahoma 'seceded' from the union?

Yes, when I started on the other site, I just happened to have the book next to me so I used that name. I have since taken it on as the other meaning of the apocalyptic nature. Ya know, death rides on a pale horse.
I have heard of the Ireland incident and I also heard that Sarcozy is trying to get that overridden.

i think a one world government would be fine as long as its run properly with true equality for all.
but the prob is the few powermongers who take their position to the extreme.
heres something ive been thinking of about this subject:
several house blocks --> city block
city blocks --> suburb
suburbs --> council district (governement control over a few suburbs)
council districts --> state government
state government --> nationwide government (eg gw bush, k.rudd etc)
now, youve got several nations forming these unions (eu, nau etc)
the final step is these "unions" uniting under one larger controlling body.

A few years ago I would have said that the Chinese or the Japanese or maybe even the Eastern europeans would never go for it. They would riot, burn shit and generally cause all manor of hell.
BUT!
The major focus of 90% of the people on the planet these days is what's the next new shiny object that I can purchase (guilty: Where's my iphone!) and how will I finance said purchase. I'm bloody sure that the banks of the world are all more than happy to get everyone in debt. People in debt are a lot easier to control. Hmmm lets get the food prices to go up...
In a crazy kind of way it might be a good thing. If food prices were the same all over the planet and everyone lived live to the same laws and standards. Hold on there is a place just like that, Cloud Cuckoo Land.
It might happen, but not for a very, very long time and after some horrid thing/war/disease has wiped out >50% of the population.

...And that is part of some madman's plan. I've read theories where the "one world government" will only work with a substantially devastated population.
World War 3 seems to be ramping up quite nicely thanks to the 'west's' invasion of the middle east. We're also helping fund terrorism by our support of Israel, but that's another story...
