I'm working with GIMP and finding it hard going doing all the little fiddly pixel work with the mouse.
So I located a Bamboo Fun graphics tablet (http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/bamboofun.cfm) off craigslist on the cheap today.
I'm getting used to it, it's a little weird, but using the pen instead of a mouse is MUCH easier on the hand -- for regular surfing as well as the graphics work.
Yeah, the thing is awesome except for one thing:
It doesn't work with GIMP. There's a bug. I spent all night last night looking online at bug forums and found a patch that I'm about to go in and try.
I've never done hex editing before. Ought to be a larf.
Anyway, this is why I'm sort of MIA today; getting this tablet set up.
Has anybody else ever worked with a graphics tablet? What do you think of them?
