I find snopes to be a very intelligent and valuable resource for debunking those internet rumors that just won't die.

Snopes is excellent for debunking myths that shouldn't need debunking.
If it's so far beyond reason as to only be passed around by folks who have no real will to live since they finally realized how truly pathetic they are........it's a pefect assignment for Barbara "oh look at me I married this guy I met on the net because I was absolutely incapable of establishing a relationship in the real world first, likely due to my being a half step from useless and slightly more intelligent than a door knob" Mikkelson.
