Acylic paints.. too much of my time fixing my mistakes. But it was fun still. I thought it would be an original and kind of funny picture.

The earth is ours!

Sick dude. Keep em coming.

Is that an alien in the bottom right hand corner manipulating the dude near the sphere?

Thanks man, thought you'd like the content, haha.

"Is that an alien in the bottom right hand corner manipulating the dude near the sphere?"

Huh? What sphere, manipulating who? Those are just a couple guys controlling the ship, the guy standing is like the commander or something, that sphere is the moon although you can't tell because of its phase, and that its kinda covered up.. And the earth of course, put their for colour and to show that it's the moon.

Those red triangles around a couple ships though, yeah i don't know I figured i'd throw that in for effect, like targeting or scanning or some shit. I was thinking of having the ship firing at but the laser would over power the picture.

yup... I'm tired of workin on this one, but I wouldn't mind cleaning it up a bit, just like the rest lol.

Thanks for feedback.

I really like the quality of light you manage to get with acrylics.

I miss painting. One of these days, maybe I'll be able to again.

Thank you, yes painting can be fun.

I'm still pretty new to it, i don't know much about materials, but I use acrylics for its smoothness.. so I can almost make it pass as digital work if I wanted to make prints of it. But it always looks fuzzy because i use canvas... i tried using some other shit before and it just wasn't smeering good.. canvas is good for that.. I use the sheets rather then the framed stuff.

Contrast is hard, and I will get very far into a piece and then I realise all contrast is gone, just from like random spay from the airbrush over and over. My space looked a bit better before but it was too bright. Planets, the lighting can be difficult, I just look what digital artists do for reference, since they got all the ability to make it look just the way they want. They do good stuff but its not the same if you ask me. :)

Thanks for your comment. You should get painting again if you enjoy it. Its hard finding the time or motivation.

Its hard finding the time or motivation.

Especially with two small kids, no partner, and two crazy freaks that won't leave me alone.

Once the littlest one is in school, I will probably have some time to start art again, though what I really want to get back into is polymer clay bead work and objets de art.

ha yeah, sounds pretty busy. What is this work you speak of? I want to start doing mort art with my hands.. like welding some monstrosities.

You can't beat craftsmanship, hands on all the way.

You'll have free time some day, haha.

Some of my stuff is here: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=784 (http://amkon.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=784)

The bead work I do is described in places like this:

ha, yup. That was taken last year when we had this little piece of deck we built on top of our roof, to drink and spy on the neighborhood. Those were good times. We're still gunna do the same but I think we're gunna say fuck the deck, because it was taken apart anyway. I can drink on a slant. I hardly drink anymore, it used to be like 6 every day, hard to get anything done. :) But yeah.. my weekday "highs" now are in meditation, lol LAME..na its good.

Fuck i can't wait for the summer. You probably couldn't care less, since you're in the desert..

Yeah its may here. The summer has been here for some time now...There really is no winter to speak of...

The great white north on the other hand has quite a winter.
