How do YOU vote? Absentee? In person? By telepathy? Not at all?

It's primary time in California, and I vote absentee. I have had my ballot sitting on the table for over a week and finally got to it today.

I was absolutely appalled to see that there was a proposition on the ballot to do away with rent control.

Fuck that for a bad joke; people have a hard enough time renting in the Bay Area as it is. I'm not voting to abolish rent control, even if you dress it up under other issues.

Assholes.

Shit I feel like a young-in. 2004 was the first time I was eligible to vote, and I was hiking at the time so I didn't even get a chance to vote...

Sadly enough, I was part of the brainwashed Bush crew then, so it woulda been a wasted vote anyway.

I think I'm going to send in absentee ballots to the 3-4 states I've lived in the past few years.

You heard me, you can vote in multiple states. Fucked up, I know...but I'm going to do it anyway.

We vote in a building that was once a rural school house decades ago. Our precinct has about 130 voters. We do not live in a city just county. I always use a paper ballot but there is also an electronic voting machine. Most people use paper not the plastic. Hopefully the paper ballots will not go away. Next election will be the general/presidential in November. To vote early/absentee, a person has to go to the county seat, which for us is about a 26 mile drive.

We're allowed to get our absentee ballots mailed to us and can apply by mail. It seems odd they make you come in to register to vote absentee.

I hate the electronic machines. I don't trust them. Diebold and that ilk being up GWB's butt as they are. I want a paper ballot that leaves a trail and have the votes counted by actual people.

The over 65's can use mail-in. I really don't know if all absentee can be mail-in.

I am very wary of the electronic voting. The very fact that the powers do not see an audit trail as important makes me not trust the system.

There was a case in the next county over where a machine kept setting a vote to a specific entry. If one can be wrong they all can.
