Things are hotting up economically for the middle and poor classes. Everything's going up in price faster and faster.

I thought it might be interesting to note prices in different parts of the world, and be able to see how fast they're rising. It might also be depressing.

Today I saw premium gas at a 76 station in Chinatown going for $4.39 a gallon. Woof.

yup it's $4.49 at the one place we saw here.

Hubby's taking BART to work from now on unless he's working OT. Hmmm spend $85/week in gas or $4 a week to park at BART and ride for free.

He gets to ride for free? Damn, no hard choice there, and he doesn't have to deal with the Anti Destination League at rush hour.

I saw premium at a Shell in Oakland today for 4.55

My Costco membership is really paying off -- I saved about 24 cents a gallon over ghetto gas the other day. $4.31 as opposed to $4.55 for regular unleaded.

East Coast baby!!!

Not for long.

It's all over.

Maple syrup?

I haven't narrowed it down really but I use to spend 60 to 70 dollars on food a week.
Now I am lucky to get by on 80 to 90.
Guess I will buy more Ramen.
Ramen. Chicken. And Frank's Hot Sauce. Tis all I need.

well here (ireland) gas has shot up 20 c in the past few weeks to 1.40 (2.70$)
Cheap you might say, hell naw
One of the main reasons ireland has prosperd over the past 20 years is cheap petrol and feck all busneiss tax
But now, with the lisbon treaty looking like its gona go ahead anyways even tho we voted no , busneiss taxes are gona go thru the roof
And since were an island and gas isnt cheap any more its going to cost a hell of alot more to import and export
Food prices have risen about 25% here since april
