I went back to SKATS, and I actually talked to SkepticOverlord, told him that there were genuinely people pissed off, and that I consider their anger valid because I was very angry, too, and got very unfairly banned for simply defending Ducky's post. Sure, he totally defended ATS and such, and totally said the rumors were lies (I expected that) but what totally blew me away is that I got my posting privileges back. A test? Who knows. I'm certainly aware that this could all just be a big misunderstanding, and I believe maybe some of this is poo flinging, but I also believe that some of it may not be. I don't think they are all horrible bastards over there, but I think there are most definitely some shady dealings... and some zealous business moves that are definitely affecting the members.

I think maybe everybody just needs to chill out, because dude you forget that there are a LOT of people out there who are stupid as hell, and any old joe can stroll into SKATS for fun because they just saw an alien movie and need their "crazy people" fix.

Dunno why. but I do know that lying won't do any of us good in the end.

As I'm the one with the admin console open in front of me as I'm typing this, I can definitely say that Ducky is not and has not been banned from anything. Not the site itself, not posting, not PM's. Nothing.


Is it possible that the admin logs were tampered with? I don't know how it works there but over here I can cover my tracks if I decide to mess with someone by simply removing the entries that logged those actions. And it doesn't even take a programming genius to do it. I just check a button and click delete.

I'm going to tell you all for the record. I logged on to Sohai this past Friday nite, the first time since I made that thread over there. We all know which one that is.

I saw the u2u's lit up and went in to check out what's going on. First, I'm gonna ask you guys for those who are familiar with the u2u's. "If one reads their messages, doesn't it stand to reason that, the 'highlighted, darkened message' will go from that color, to a lighter one, when the message has been read?"

Wellllll....I gotta tell ya. Pretty much every NEW every message (that I've never seen in my life) was unbolded, unhighlight, undarkened, save for 1. What does this tell you all?

Now, here's the kicker. When I clicked on ANY message, NONE would open up. I couldn't even send messages. Nada...Nothing...DEAD END. I've never had that happen to me in all the time that I was over there. Coinky dinky? pfffffttt....NOPE! I was the literal 'sitting duck'.

Until this happened, I've never EVER received a warning or anything else before. I think this would constitute as 'post-banning' eh? Then someone says that I'm NOT banned? What the hell do you call that then?!?! Doesn't cut mustard with me.

It would appear that the term banned implies only when the actual word 'Banned' is in the user profile.

I would say that is a roundabout way to ban a user. A purposely 'made to not function' account still swims like a duck and quacks. This seems to me to be a way of defending that a person is not banned yet is not allowed to participate.

Truer words were never spoken. I was one of those who preferred to remain oblivious to it all. Hell just look at my posts here before shit happened to me. I was sceptical of all you whiners' claims. I looked at you all uplifting the fact that you were banned as though it was some sort of badge of honour and shook my head in amusement. I had similar thoughts to what Crakeur said earlier. I was wondering if you all thought it was "cool" to be banned and said to myself, "pffftt... that's silly," completely missing the point. And then I got banned suddenly. Even then I still thought it was an "error", as I haven't really posted on the other site for a while nor have I used their user-to-user messaging system, so where was the opportunity to breach their T&C? Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I convinced myself that it must have been a simple mistake (really, look for the post somewhere here, I was in perfect denial). To clear it up, I tried to contact them but then the door slammed shut in my face for the second time. That was when I woke up.

Shock. Anger. Then disappointment.

I can sense revulsion coming up soon.
