I go to pay at the pump with my debit card today, and the pump refuses the card. It says to go in and see the cashier.
I do that, she swipes the card, says it's refused. I know there's nearly $40 on it. So I pay cash (not happy), fill up my car, and come home to check the internet.
It shows a charge from the gas station of all the remaining money on my account!
I call BofA (the cash card is the one my child support is put on. i wouldn't use BofA for anything else. I had no choice in who issues the card. I loathe BofA). What the hell is going on?
"Oh, well, when a gas station swipes your card, they put a hold of $75 on your account to make sure you have funds to pay for it. they can hold it for up to 72 hours."
What the fuck? The machine can't read my damned card and tell how much fucking money is on it? No other gas station I've ever been to has done this to me. So I have to wait for MY money to get back on MY card for a transaction THEY refused?
Fuck you!!!! And of course, I'm not impressed and I stared to say so and the bitch operator copped an attitude with me. Listen, cunt, you don't like your job? find another one.
So then I ask why I can't make internet purchases on it. She says there's no reason I can't. i say I've tried and it won't let me. She says, when? Really snotty like. I say it's been a few months, I just want to see what's going on. She says I can't tell you unless it's a recent attempt.
So I hung up on her fucking ass. Asking for the supervisor doesn't do any good because she'll just hang up on me, what's the fucking point?
I'm beginning to get behind outsourcing for telephone support people now, though, because when I talk to somebody in fucking Bangalore I get some decent treatment and respect. At least when they're telling me I'm fucked, it's semi pleasant.
