Our first official poetry contest. :)
First prize is US$20.00. To claim your prize if you win you will need to have a paypal account.
If you don't have an account you can sign up for free here (http://www.paypal.com.au/au).
Rules:
Pretty much anything goes. Any genre is permitted.
For some idea's of the different types of poetry you can use see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetry).
Limericks are also permitted.
There will be up to 3 entry's per member allowed.
Try to keep the word count to a reasonable level, i'm going to have to read them all. :D
The winner will be decided by a member vote, in the event of a tie i will have the final deciding vote.
All members and staff are welcome to enter.
All entry's are to be submitted as a seperate thread in the "Member Writings" (http://amkon.net/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=48) forum.
Make sure to put (AOPC)*....name of poem...* as your thread title so that i can sticky your poem.
The deadline for all entry's is the 1st of June.
The voting thread will then be open until the end of June.
The winner will be announced on the 1st of July.
