they are dropping him off at 10 am and she said the reception does not get over till 10 pm...

what in the hell is up with that shit....12 fucking hours i have to have this dog over here. i mean he is a cool dog and all but gawd damn that is a long day.

Shit, they could have told you it was that long when they asked the first time.

People get on my nerves sometimes.

But hey, at least it's a dog, and not their 2 year old kid, right?

yeah, it's bullshit....it is not a 2yr old kid but it is only a 5 month old dog..

i think it is kinda bogue for them to ask all blaze' about it and not telling us till now after we already told em yeah...i mean that is a long fuckin day and that means we are stuck home all day....can't leave em alone.

That is the good thing about family, they think they can pull shit that is bs, but it is ok cause they are family. I would do anything for my family, but sometimes family takes advantage. I have to say I am angry today, so this may be harsh, but give their dog a couple benadryl and do what vick says, lock it in the bathroom. Either that or beat it until it is so scared it just sits in the corner and hides.

Hey Gunner! I am not going to berate you or judge you. But there is very cheap doggy Valium available from a vet. Please don't ever beat or suggest someone take out aggression on an animal.

Call the dogs vet and explain the situation. They will give you a prescription and likely they will bill it to the owners account. If no vet- take the animal to the vet emergency and explain- they will give you one or two pills according to the dogs specs. They will help if you are honest- if they cannot they will refer you to a vet who will.

And- the best way to discipline an animal is to deny it your presence. Close it in a ventilated room where it can cause no damage, just make sure there is food and water. After about 3 hours (at the longest) take the dog for a walk. When you come back home- the dog will be much calmer and easier to deal with- especially when you lead it back to the room. The animal will get submissive (usually rolling over on its back to expose its vulnerability and letting you know you are in charge).

PS- you family should have boarded the untrained animal in an appropriate facility.

Sorry you have to go through this.

it's gonna be kinda cool cause my dog and this dog get along really well and love playing together but fuck man..13 hours is no joke....i am not afraid to lock it in a bathroom....i probaby will when it is feeding time cause i don't need my dog to fuck that dog up....

my sis in law said the dog might go after my dogs food and i ain't playing that shit....i also don't need her dog getting it's ass beat down you know. i'd never hear the fuckin end of it if something happened.

i will take a pic of this one cause he is a real cool looking brindle

i know..i would never hit the dog...i have never hit mine or 'spanked' his ass or muzzle. i am a fan of positive reinforcement..hitting son't work imo. it's a real dick move to hit on your dog(s)

boon, you should use this opportunity to get your dog even more social with others than he already is.

like teaching them not to fight over food, dogs will actually share quite well (my labs never fight over food or bones)
and teaching your dog to listen to you when you give him commands and not be distracted by the other dog.

why is half a day an issue, cant you stick em both in the back yard and let em do their own thing or does your dog get nasty with the little one?

well first i don't want my dog to be super social....social to a point but i want him to be on guard you know...as far as sticking them in the yard, thats where they will be but it is not fenced in so i am going to have to untangle them every 5 fucking minutes...
also, 13 hours is not a half a day....it's all god damn day...

Kidding DK. The only thing funnier then animal abuse is domestic violence, if I could have worked that in somewhere I would have also.

I dont agree with beating dogs, the only thing I have ever had to use for hitting my dog while training, is a fly swatter. It isnt the abuse that gets them, it is the fact that they screwed up so bad you had to correct them that upsets them.

Shit Boon, look outside the box, here is an opportunity for some REAL fun. Get yourself a pet rhinoceros, then go over to your neighbor and say “Hey dude, remember when I watched your dog for you, could you watch my rhino for awhile?” Then split for a month.

Throw your wife at the dog and vice-versa...

Hours of fun right there people!
