My Constitution

Alright a few of you know that I've worked on making a new Constitution base don the skeletal structure of the American Constitution.

This is the current version of it I'm working on, though it's hardly the same one I started off with, it's gone through quite a bit of revision, so much so that you could even say it's not the same thing I started with.

Now there are some things I'm still working on, among them creating areas to add the second and third amendments to, changing the wording of some things and spelling and punctuation.

Oh and obvioulsy I would like everyones suggestions, ideas and thoughts on this.

As well as pointing out spelling and punctuation errors I'm sure I've made.

What is the purpose of this new constitution? I think the one we have now works pretty well, when followed. The thing I dont like about this is the 'commonwealth', also about people being able to have weapons with licensing. The whole licensing thing for weapons doesnt work, all it does it take protection out of law abiding citizens hands.

I know you are a socialist leaning person, and that is fine. You are still young, and alot of younger people believe that socialism is a good thing. Then when you get out and start working, and see all the money that is stolen from your check to take care of other people, usually minds start to change. When I say you are young, that in no way means that your not an intelligent person, obviously from reading what you write on here, you are. I am just telling you what my observations have been throughout life.

What is the purpose of this new constitution?


Well it does'nt have 100% decided concrete purpose, though it could either be a future replacement of the American constitution, a future Constitution for a North American Union or a constitution for a future political entity.

It's just a place holder name, I mean I could'nt just leave it blank when ever the name of the political entity was used.

I would counter that licensing works, it's regulation that screws things up.
I believe in the right to have weapons, but I also don't want psychos who don't even know how to use one getting them, therefore I added the licensing clause, plus note it also says 'within reason', which essentially there are limits to how far licensing schemes can go.

Actually, it has been quite the opposite.
I use to be a Conservative anti-tax minarchist, I've become more Socialist as I age.
I dislike money greatly and only use it because I need to, and I have no problem with taxes being taken out of my pay check to help others.
