LEXINGTON, Ky. - An eighth-grader in Kentucky is accused of putting peanut butter cookie crumbs in the lunchbox of a classmate with a severe peanut allergy.

The allergic student did not eat the cookies Thursday at Morton Middle School in Lexington.

Fayette County schools spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall says the accused student was arrested on a felony wanton endangerment charge. The student will face charges in the juvenile court system.

Deffendall says it was well known that the other student suffered allergies. There was no known history of problems between the two 13-year-olds.

For those allergic to peanuts, trace amounts of peanut oil can cause severe reactions and even death

They don't realize. What kid that age takes death seriously? Not one of them.

It's scary as hell though.

Okay, sorry in advance but not really.

While I think this is really fucking sick and disturbing, I have issues with the whole "mysterious nut allergy".

Seriously, I must have been in a cave for the last 20 years which would make me 15, and I do not remember a rise in nut issues. Then one day, BAM, no more nuts.

Lets say there is a school. In this school, there is 1500 students of various ages. Out of these 1500 strudents 5 have nut issues. So, what is the solution? BAN NUTS FOR ALL! How does this makes sense? My kids do not have peanut allergies, nor do 99% of the other kids at this fabricated school. Yet 5 kids do, so I can not send my kids to school with anything nut related. So, if it says on the wrapper that there may be "trace" amount due to where my kids fruit fucking roll-up was made, I can not send it, and if someone turns me in, they will suspend my kids? All because there are 5 kids that are allergic to nuts! Since when was it the needs of the few or the one out weigh the needs of the many?

Put your kid in a bubble. I mean, the way this fucked up politically correct world is going, they are growing up in one anyway.

Right? At the private school my daughter used to go to, that we paid over $10K a year for, we couldn't send any kind of nut product. Three teachers per classroom, and they can't keep the kids from sampling each other's nuts?

it's the same at a place I like to take my kids to -- habitot. It's an indoor play space, and in the lunchroom, they ask you don't bring nut products.

If someone is letting their kid run amok to the point they're getting into baby-proof trash cans and eating someone else's lunch, then why should it be my problem?

Well then I guess I am not as insenstive as I thought I was.

And another point I forgot, if you kids is allergic you would have raised them to know how to use an epi-pen, you know, the one you should be sending them to school with as well as the one provided by the school.

I have 3 step kids, so I don't want the, you're not a parent arguement from anyone. And everyone I know that has kids thinks that it is bullshit, yet we all cowtow and quiver at the words of the almighty.

Fuck I hate people.

Ok, that was unnecessary I guess but I feel much more better.
