Ethical Atheist (http://www.ethicalatheist.com/forum/index.php) is an intelligent site with a forum that is much more mellow than many religious and atheist forums.

I occasionally check in there. Their main page has many valuable resources for theology debates.

I came across information yesterday that EA has been under attack by pr0n bots, apparently in an effort to shut them down.

That kind of thing doesn't "just happen," it has to be set in motion by someone with malicious intent. Due to the nature of the site, the chances are good that it is a fundamentalist or other extremist xian or group of xians behind it.

Where is the "superior xian morality" here? Is it in any way moral to use pornography, which all xians are supposed to abhor, to attack a site that doesn't agree with one's paradigm?

It's this hypocrisy in the ranks of the vast majority of xians (American ones, at least, with whom I have the most experience) that I despise most about the religious. Not only is it acceptable to spam a site that has a different view of things just because the sky fairy is "offended," this internet pest knows how to get pr0n bots set on a site -- and pr0n is offensive to the invisible friend as well.

It's this cowardice, hypocrisy and immature approach of certain subsets of believers that has turned me off all religion.

Now what has been set in motion? What rough beast slouches towards somewhere else to be born?

General it's quite possibly that this isn't some conspiracy perpetrated by xians but in fact is a random porn spambot attack.

Shit I've had little insignificant invision free board forums that were attacked by spambots of all types, I don't know how they find it. One of them I owned and it was just a little joke forum, another was dedicated to a particular game series. Both were insignificant and somehow the spambots tracked them down and spammed them.

It could simply be bots and not a deliberate attack.
