Alright, first thread (besides intro) here. I am very pissed off right now and figured what the hell, why not rant to you guys as I am sure you will understand where i am coming from. I apologize right away for the possibility of excessive profanity as I am not usually a cussing type of writer. But I am heated right now.
I had a thread over there called "Texas student suspended after taking cell phone call from dad in Iraq". It was in the Alt.news forum and has seventeen pages of great debate of how schools seem to be trying to control every aspect of kids lives. Sort of like our government. The thread is currently a few days old now. A mod, who shall remain nameless, decided to move it today. There has been plenty of moderator posting within the thread with no apparent intent of moving the thread.
Here is the reason I got for the move. And I quote...."The idea is that a story that has continued discussion and is older than 48 hours is no longer breaking news." A true statement. But, by that logic, wouldn't you think that any thread as old and older than mine should be moved out of that forum? And to top it off, it got moved to the "sister site" which will in turn just kill the fucking thread. Now this mod is notorious for moving things because he does not agree with what point are being offered in the thread. The story and continuing discussion are definitely "alt.news" worthy. If the unnamed Mod had read the whole thread, he would have seen where the discussion is going.
Of course I followed all the right procedures in filing a fucking complaint but we all know how far that gets us. I have put a lot of hard work in my threads and take pride in my writing. To me this is just another way of controlling members. the very thing that site is supposed to be against. So what the fuck is up? Does the admin. not probe their Mods and track there way of doing things? As I have ran into this countless of times on the other site, I have come to the end of my rope. It seems more and more often that they are baiting members to see how far they will go. That will get a lot of good talk about your site!! (sarcasm).
So, with that said, I am looking forward to posting some great work here for you guys to read and share your thoughts. I get the sense the proverbial "leash" is a lot longer over here.
