Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has cast doubt over the US version of the September 11 attacks, calling it a pretext to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.
"Four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names," Ahmadinejad told Iranians in the holy city of Qom.
"Under this pretext, they (the US) attacked Afghanistan and Iraq and since then, a million people have been killed only in Iraq."

Is this guy the full quid?

I wouldn't call a couple of planes smashing into a building suspicious, id say its downright blatantly obvious.
Whether you believe the US government was complicit in the attacks or merely incompetent i find it hard to believe they would go to those lengths merely to invade Afghanistan and Iraq, theres simpler ways of starting a war imo.
But im a long way from the events that occured there, what is the public opinion of normal Americans now?

No such thing as a "normal" American -- there's thousands of different opinions on every subject -- remember Above Politics?

My particular opinion on the 9/11 thing was that it was a legitimate attack by a terrorist organization (keeping in mind that at some point we'd no doubt trained and armed them, so it's our own bloody chickens coming home to roost) that happened because Bush & Co. are such good friends with the King of Saudi Arabia they thought they were safe from attacks such as this one, so they ignored intelligence to the contrary. Because they're stupid fucking boobs who have no business being in business, let alone in government.

But the Pres of Iran is right in a way, the attacks WERE an excuse to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. Not that it was pre-planned, but that the opportunistic jackals in charge of our government saw a chance to do something they wanted to do: control opium and oil; and they did it.

They make me sick, yes. I think they deserve hard jail time when they finish office. But I don't believe that any of them are smart enough or competent enough to pull that off -- let alone even imagine it for themselves. Despite their horrid ethics, they still believe they love America and I think that Bush, at least, actually does believe he is a patriot.

If you think about it, the American Way is to step on whoever you can, grab whatever you can get, and the boy with the most toys wins. So, in essence, they are the true representatives of what America has become.

Manifest destiny has no place in the world anymore, but we still practice it. And then we pay, like on 9/11.

Ok,mark your calenders CTG is going to comments on 9/11, 1st time ever!

I am convinced that the USA purposly overlooked the threat and purposly provoked the attack, just like Peral Harbor and the Lusitania. Lets not forget the incident that started Vietman, the attack on a US ship in...I forget the place, never happend. Its all about profit from war.

I can sympathsize with those of you who think arab terrorists hijacked airplanes and crashed into the Pentagon and WTC.

It was a very believable psyop.

Its not true. There were no Arab hijackers and there were no airplane crashes. I make that statement after spending 42 years in aviation as a professional pilot and looking carefully at all of the evidence, or actually, lack of evidence.

I can also sympathsize as to your view of Ahmadinejad. If Israel says he is Hitler then he must be Hitler. And if Hitler says the attack on 911 was bogus then it must be bogus.

Very little of what Ahmadinejad says is accurately printed in the American press. Unless its to our advantage which is the case of his 911 comments.

Cheney wants to nuke Iran so bad he can taste it. So whatever you see in the media will support that effort.

I don't know whether or not we will nuke Iran but I can tell you this: if we do nuke Iran, or Iran gets nuked by the Israeli's, you will wish for the rest of your life that it did not happen. When you are paying $10 a gallon at the pump and you can't even get a job at 711 you will wonder, "What was I thinking? How could nuking Iran possibly help America? Even if they had a nuclear bombs themselves how could that possibly affect us? Oh, I see. We are going to nuke Iran to protect Israel so we can pay $10 a gallon at the pump? And I can get a job with Halliburton to rebuild Tel Aviv?"

No thanks. Lets hold off on nuking Iran and see if we can't settle the dispute some other way. For instance, we could always give Iran a cut on the oil we want to steal from her. We could always give Iran a cut on the oil going through the pipeline we built from the Caspian Sea that runs through her country on its way to the Gulf.

We don't want to? Oh. :)

I do not know whether or not planes were used in the 9/11 debacle or not mainly because of the stock put options scenario that went down. Neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things because its all such an enormous ugly lie.

That said, the Iranian nation is quite insane as fanatic fundamentalism and just plain crazy rantings. They get a promise of much pussy in the afterlife! Come on- that is just crazy!!!

Also, I saw the man at his speaking engagement and he is a fucking lunatic- say there are no gay people in Iran. He is a fucking loon. Still with all that- there is no reason to nuke Iran.

But rest assured we will nuke/war with Iran before the elections (err....selections).

As I have said in the past. George Bush will stay in office by officially declaring a state of emergency when we go to war. This will undoubtedly be done at the very last moment- likely just before the new commander is officially sworn into office.

This will be the ugliest bloodiest year in the history of mankind- and you all can take this prediction to the bank!
