There is no way to leave my house other than the front door, cos it's not a house it's a flat.
Also I have to pass my neighbours front door, it's unavoidable.
Now they have seen the light and have stuck a big ass cross on their door. It says
"Jesus is the lord of this house".
It's white with black writing and has some gold edging stuff, hmm tasteful...
Now it's not the whole Xian thing that gets me it's the freaking hypocrisy...
My neighbours are Chinese, they moved in a few months ago and on the fist day they burned shed loads of paper to cleanse the house, a shinto tradition. I think!
They got married a few weeks later and again burned stuff and had loads of Chinese banners all over the door.
Last week it was "Ching Ming Tse" which is a grave cleaning and honour thy ancestors type day, outside the house was a food plate (offerings) and incense.
So I'm trying to figure this out... Hmm... One of them is a Xain and the other is Shinto or follows Chinese Traditions, but no They are both Xains, they told me in the lift yesterday morning!
And now the thing on the door?!? I keep making this funny hissing sound as I pass it and feel my K9's getting longer.
Weird Ya?
Does religion and culture mix in this way and I missed the memo?
Should I post them a lion one sunday morning?
